Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by yessie:
I have been a silent follower of this group. I started following after submitting my mum and sister’s application. Mum’s app is a renewal and sister’s application is a new one. Sister was refused last year. I ordered GCMS notes to look deeply into the officer’s notes and ensured it was addressed in this new application. Documents submitted
Letter from sister’s company
Pay slips
Bank statements- 6 months ( explaining the funds inside with proof)
My business bank statement - I said I will be sponsoring them.. ticket fairs, accommodation and all though my sister also declared she will be bringing in money just for shopping.
Letter from my canada company
My pay slip and husband’s pay slip
Letter of invitation from me and my husband (notarized)
A letter from my mum stating she is coming with my sister and also emphasizing how she has always left Canada back at the right time
Birth certificate
Most importantly, handed it over to God which is the ULTIMATE
Submitted - Oct 27
PPR - Nov 17
Submitted Passport and got it back within 2 working days. I wish everyone the best

Please anyone with the number for visitor visa telegram or WhatsApp group should drop it.
In the question, have you travelled in the last 10 years?
Can I say yes 8yrs ago and choose a country they can’t verify just to strengthen my application? The passport I’m using now was just renewed few months ago that is to say that the passport I used 8yrs ago is expired.
Do people without travel history get visit visa approval? In my case I want to accompany my Canadian citizen child who is a minor. I have never applied to Canada before and my US visa application was denied 10yrs ago due to no strong ties
Seems like to get a lengthy visa ban dey hungry you..

Canadian embassy and documents verification na 5 and 6.

It's better you have a clean record with Canadian embassy than to messed it up.

Getting a visiting visa without travelling history is 1/10 chances

Since your dad and mom have travel history, all 3 of you should apply and submit together. Either your dad or mom should be the principal applicant.

I did help one of my siblings to apply for a visitor visa a few days ago. He was supposed to do the biometric last week, but he missed it.

The problem now is that he traveled to the UK last night and is not due back until January 6, 2026.

Can he do the biometric at the Canada Visa Application Center (VFS) in London?

You and your parents can all apply as a group in the new portal.

When you begin the application process on the new portal, you will see a part titled "Group information." Under this section, you will be asked “Do you want to apply for more than one person at the same time”?

Click "yes," then select "Family" for the group type.

Please calm down. Any Telegram or WhatsApp group you join is full of fake Facebook visa “agents” and scammers who will give you fake documents and that can easily get you a 5-year visa ban. Do it yourself, get a licenced visa consultant and ask your questions openly here.

yoooo you want to lie to IRCC hahahahahah my brother please do not its not worth it at all the world is digital

It all depends on your application.

Yes, they can give you a visa that matches the remaining validity on your passport. So, if your passport is valid for 10 years, they may issue a visa for 9 or 10 years.

However, that usually only happens if you have a strong travel history and you are not considered a high-risk traveler

In the end, it depends on the visa officer, who will decide how many months or years you are given on your passport.

For example, my sister who lives in the UK, she was given a two-year visa based on the remaining validity of her Nigerian passport.

So, it all depends on your individual case, circumstances, and the visa officer handling your application.

That's not a problem You can go to any VAC – it doesn’t have to be in your country of residence. .

Book an appointment as soon as possible, but before the BIL expires (generally 30 days).

If the 30-day window has passed, submit the explanation via the IRCC web form (with details of his missed appointment and UK travel) asking for additional time.

I noticed there’s an Officer Decision Notes on the refusal letter. Does this cover for a GCMS note?
The officer’s decision notes can give you an idea of why your visa was refused. However, if you did not submit the application yourself especially if you used a Facebook visa agent and are unsure what they submitted you should request your GCMS notes.

GCMS notes contain detailed information about your application from A to Z.

Is it normal that if you send your passport to VFS Abuja for stamping, the tracking email will say it’s being processed in Lagos? Does this mean that the passport was routed from Abuja to Lagos? I thought they did the printing in Abuja?

My family and I travelled to Canada this week for the Christmas holidays. During check-in, the airline conducted strict verification in real time with CBSA officials in Canada. The process was unusual: CBSA sent questions via WhatsApp to the airline representative, he read each question to the passenger, the passenger responded, and he typed the answers back to CBSA. This back-and-forth continued until CBSA decided whether to clear the passenger for boarding.

One family was eventually denied boarding after this exchange. The airline informed them that CBSA had instructed the carrier not to allow them on the flight due to “multiple inconsistencies,” and advised them not to attempt travelling to Canada again until they heard from the embassy.

Have you ever experienced or heard of something similar?

It appears first-time travelers may be scrutinized more closely, so if you’re travelling, be fully prepared to answer questions clearly, truthfully, and consistently

What type of questions pls
Basically, the questions focused on details from your visa application: your purpose of travel, destination in Canada, planned activities, occupation, annual income, both spouses’ highest educational qualifications and institutions, accommodation address and proof, and your family’s travel history (including previous visas and any refusals). Additional questions were asked depending on your responses.

It appears they are primarily checking for consistency with the information provided in your application.

Hello everyone,
Please, i applied for canada PR via the AIP route, its been 2months and a week, i am yet to get a biometric request letter.
I only got a mail acknowledging the receipt of application when application was submitted, application does not have a reference number to track it yet. I tried checking the status on the portal, it only displayed submitted.
Though i have done biometric with IRCC before (3years ago), but i learnt that PR biometric is different and it must be done separately.
I just want to know if everything is normal.
