To start with, The president doesn’t compile most of the names. Many of them a president has never met of heard of. At least half of any list of appointees are sent by party hierarchy. For example Tinubu is on record as saying he only needs 8 ministers. What that means is that his core agenda are defined by those 8 ministries.The others are to pacify/settle the party. Similarly, he probably has identified a handful of countries of the 104 missions that are a priority to him. It is to those he will send his core people and the rest he doesn’t care who is the ambassador.


I don’t think there is anyone more universally loathed like Reno Omokiri. It would be most befitting if his nomination is rejected. That said if he is cleared, I am almost certain he will be sent to an obscure country.

So your whole argument is basically, ‘If someone makes a claim, and others repeat it, they’re all guilty. That’s not how anything works. Public figures get criticized, accused, questioned, that’s normal in a democracy. If the allegation is false, there’s a very simple solution: a court can settle it.

Reno said what he said and even invited legal action. Silence isn’t a defence, and neither is attacking people who simply discuss a public conversation. Instead of asking why people are talking about the allegation, maybe ask why the person with all the power, lawyers, and influence isn’t challenging it in court.
