Yes, Venezuela is an Oil producing nation, the largest deposit: but they are plagued with massive Corruption like in Nigeria and the oil has become a curse. Just like in Nigeria, Citizens are desperate for money which is in the hands of a few elite. Drug brings in money in DOLLARS and quickly through USA and many of the big shots are involved in it.

Natural Resources can easily turn to become a curse and not a blessing
