A previously recorded interview in which social commentator and former presidential aid of Dr Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri vowed never to work with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has resurfaced online, just hours after he accepted a federal ambassadorial nomination from President Tinubu.

The old interview, taken from a podcast conversation with Seun of Channels Television, has re-ignited discussions about political loyalty and shifting positions. In the recording, Omokri was asked whether he would ever consider serving in a Tinubu-led government.

Seun asked:

“If Bola Tinubu approaches you to work with him, would you?”

Omokri responded:

“It will never happen.”

Pressed further on whether he meant the President approaching him or him accepting, he replied:

“Oh my gosh, A drug Baron? I don’t want to betray privilege. Somebody from Bola Tinubu camp has already reached out to me and I told the person that, look, it cannot happen. I can’t do it. It’s just against my principles. I’m not… Some people can do that. It’s not in my DNA. I can’t do it. It’s never going to happen. It’s never going to happen. God forbids I can never work with him.”

Reno can never be a true ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Don't also forget Femi Fani Kayode too. Who;

- Mocked Tinubu as a drug addict who "slurs when he speaks," needs "20 pills" to function, and shakes while eating; accused him of incoherence without substances.

- Called Tinubu Buhari's "principal night soil collector and chief slave" for betraying past anti-Buhari stance (e.g., 2003 quote labeling Buhari a "religious fanatic"

- Blasted Tinubu for callous response to #EndSARS killings, blaming victims and brushing atrocities "under the carpet"; called it "insulting and shameful."

- Berated Tinubu for not standing to greet Ooni of Ife, deeming it "insulting" and lacking cultural respect.

- Accused him of "selling Nigeria to Buhari for selfish interest," bragging as an "affront to God," and being a "nemesis" via PDP persecution; called his broadcasts "comic relief" and "garbage."

Same man is now on Ambassadorial list.

Zero integrity from both the appointor and appointee. Agbadorians say Tinubu has forgiven them but it's rather looking like he has bribed them and bought their silence and support with taxpayer's money.

Reno has no atom of integrity in him. See how he shamelessly used the reverse gear and went back straight to his old stinking vomits.

Maybe in that region where you come from. For other Nigerians, a man's word is bond.

Most Nigerians are hypocrites, Reno, Bwala, Bishop Kukah FFK etc. they only complain when they are not benifitting.

I think Reno was referring to the textbook Principles of Physics when he said this. The textbooks explains the law of attraction and repulsion
