Hotfreezer:I rarely respond to people who comment with combative tone. If you must know, it is a sixth southeast state we are talking about. It's the south east representative that will make the ultimate decision even if it's going to be Anioma. That's how they got the right. They were the ones that held a meeting and tried to balance out the proposals by coming up with that. I think it's ridiculous but some Anioma people aren't helping matters. They have been speaking in condescending tones over Anioma state fueling mistrust from the southeast. Otherwise with proper negotiation, an Anioma state comprising of the nine LGAs of Delta North and Igbanke would suffice. |

Scholes007:What you people don't know is that when it comes to State creation, it will cut across the country. If an additional state is created in the east, four will be created in the north and either two or three in the west. It can never be equal. In terms of land mass and population,we are not equal |

Solsix:Well, majority of the people in Delta north don't want to be part of the south east. |

FreeStuffsNG:You talk as if their history only began when your Western Region was created! So they had no identity before then abi!? Check all the monikers in support of Anioma not joining their kinsfolk in the south-east! They’re 100% the usual Igbo-hating trolls, and/or are the usual APC/emilokan acolytes! A good pointer to what or who exactly is driving this agenda! Some people just can’t seem to sleep well at night if they feel Ndigbo/south-east are overcoming obstacles placed before them and benefiting in any way, or if they feel the Igbo are becoming more cohesive, conscious of their ethnic identity and breaking down the barriers placed amongst them by the Nigerian state and its evil agents from the late 60s to date! |

Obiedun:Then what should be the problem if Anioma joins south east?? Or a state can be carved from cross river to join south East |

Kwara avd Kogi are North Central so kini big deal exactly? Not the first time people speaking variations of a language are in different zones. |

IkpuMmadu: If Anioma is created as sixth state for the southeast, political representation in the NASS and in the Federal Executive Council, quota numbers, number of federal government development projects for the people in the five southeast states get diminished. It's like further political marginalisation of people in the original five southeast States. Do the Maths, if you can. |

Noneroone:So, the South East will go to the South South to pick up people to make up the 6th SE state. But if Ijaws tell you they want to pick up Ijaw speaking parts of Imo, you will start crying. Okay, there are Igala speaking parts of Anambra and Enugu. Are you willing to let them be carved into a new state to be cited in the North central? Your meddlesome elders in the South East have zero say in Anioma matters. Let it sink in. |

When Even the 5 Existing South Eastern States Are Not in One Accord, Anambra, Imo And Abia State Don't See Ebonyi & Enugu As Igbos. |

| Re: Anioma People Reject Joining The South East As Sixth State by Scholes007(m): 12:24am On Dec 02, 2025 |
Wickedtruths:Are states created along ethnic lines? All I'm saying is if Anioma is not a possible option to make south east six states then there are possible options in cross river currently. South east must be made six state region for equity. |
| Re: Anioma People Reject Joining The South East As Sixth State by Wickedtruths: 2:22am On Dec 02, 2025 |
Scholes007:South East will only get its 6th state by dividing Imo or Enugu into 2. Don't go and be looking at grabbing land outside of the SE. SS won't give SE land to add to the SE. If you want to pick part of the SS to create a state in the SE, the NC also can pick possible options in Enugu and Anambra to create the proposed Okura state in Kogi. No be only SE sabi create state. Okura state is in the pipeline and parts of Anambra and Enugu should be included. |

Igirigimercenar:They are more in Anioma. Shebi una dey always say Delta Igbos are not real Igbos? You think those ones no dey see how una dey treat Ebonyi people? |

Wickedtruths: I know propaganda when I see one. I pity those Igbos in Delta who will allow themselves to be deceived. The aim of the enemy is to separate one from their main defender so that they can be easy target. It's quite unfortunate that the youths can't read in between the lines. Anyone who hates a particular tribe, will always hate a tribe that have same resemblance with the one they originally hated. The Igbo youths in Delta are better off with their brothers in south east. Isolation is dangerous. |

Wickedtruths:You need to see how they insult us when we talk about our ancestry. The disrespect shock me. I can't begin to say the insults they have dished to the Asagba of Asaba. These people cannot be reasoned with. They tell you what they want and then expect you to run with it. When you refuse, they start to act like victims. I used to believe that they were truly hated. But not anymore. You have to experience the arrogance of some of them to change your mind. They even claim to be the developers of Asaba. The need to fight almost all tribes in Nigeria don dey too much. Live and let live! |
| Re: Anioma People Reject Joining The South East As Sixth State by Readinglamp: 3:05am On Dec 02, 2025 |
9japride:Anioma is made up of people from different areas. No one hates us. Stop projecting. Dialogue would have made sense. But your people felt it was their duty to tell us who we are. When we try to correct them, they insult us. The opportunity is for SE to get a state. Carve one out from your region. We are OK. |
| Re: Anioma People Reject Joining The South East As Sixth State by 9japride(m): 6:20am On Dec 02, 2025 |
Readinglamp: Anioma are the eastern brothers/sisters. You can join the western part of the country it's none of our business. Those answering Chinedu won't be left behind. |

Wickedtruths:. Continue twisting the narrative to suit your hatred towards igbos Abi you think I don't know your history here? No be today You started this your disdain for the igbos. You only show up on this forum whenever igbo identity and political survival is the topic, that's when you always rush in to push your anti igbo narrative Abeg getat |
| Re: Anioma People Reject Joining The South East As Sixth State by Igirigimercenar: 6:36am On Dec 02, 2025 |
Wickedtruths:. One thing is certain, igbo nation will survive Igbo nation will outlive you. Igbo man will always be your envy while we progress. Since 2013 that you started this your journey of hate against the igbos, where did that left you? Igbos will outgrow you. You are NOT going to be better than the next igbo man close to you. We are made for success Bring more of the hatred buddy, that's what spur us to push harder while you hate harder |

gidgiddy:Go and study your history bro. Igbo remains the only ethnic group in Nigeria that is confused about their ancestry. A simple you-tube search and you will see all manners of conflicting Igbo ancestry. When we coined the word ANIOMA we never had IGBO in mind. No double standard. |
| Re: Anioma People Reject Joining The South East As Sixth State by gidgiddy: 10:29am On Dec 02, 2025 |
Felimax:Ancestry? What has ancestry got to do with it? Even those you call Anioma cant tell their ancestry. The word Anioma is just what was used to denote the Igbo speaking part of old Bendel State when it was created in 70's. Anioma is not an ethnic group |

| Re: Anioma People Reject Joining The South East As Sixth State by Scholes007(m): 1:08pm On Dec 02, 2025 |
Wickedtruths:Hahaha go away with your ethnic politics. This is logic, if 4 out of the six geopolitical regions has 6 states, 1 has 7 states and the last has 5 states, it becomes normal if the region with the least states request for 1 more state. We run a representative government in Nigeria and every region must be represented equally at least. There are viable options of states that can be created to complete South east region. I don't understand what you mean by grabbing lands. |
| Re: Anioma People Reject Joining The South East As Sixth State by Felimax(m): 2:30pm On Dec 02, 2025 |
My gidgiddy:At least for myself as an Ukwani man I know I have never and will never identify as an Igbo man. I am a proud Delta - Ukwani man and I know my ancestry, anything short does not count. |
| Re: Anioma People Reject Joining The South East As Sixth State by Scholes007(m): 3:37pm On Dec 02, 2025 |
Felimax:I'm of the opinion that any state that should be added to south east should not be from rivers or Delta but from cross river state. South east region must have six states for equity. I don't give a dim about tribe. South east cannot afford identity crisis |
| Re: Anioma People Reject Joining The South East As Sixth State by Felimax(m): 6:11pm On Dec 02, 2025 |

Scholes007:do you think it's possible for only south east to create a state and other regions wont create too? Talking of equity makes me laugh, where's the equity when a state with population of 2 have the same number of reps and senate with state of 25 million population? Where's the equity when |
| Re: Anioma People Reject Joining The South East As Sixth State by Ibadanfarmroad: 8:51pm On Dec 02, 2025 |
Scholes007:which equity? You think only south east will just create a State? Lol Other regions will create too, one or two from south west, one or two from south South, many from north. If we are talking of equity, then how does it make sense that an ekiti state that is not up to 5 million people will have the same number of senators and representatives with Kano or Lagos ? Or south east have 15 senators but Oyo that is the same size have only three. Where's the equity there ? |
