It’s people that know how to read that can make informed decisions.
Voting should be done only by people that can read. People that can’t read will always make wrong decisions at elections and hinder the development of the nation.

Funny thing is the more the population in any part of the world the percentage out of every 100 drops, 88 out of 100 of a population of 53.2 million =46.8 million while in a population of 39.4 million, 90 out of 100= 35.4 million. So it just seems like those you call illiterate aren’t doing too bad, seeing as they dominate the tech, entertainment and health sector in the country. I don’t think a country can survive only on a population of importers alone. N.B population figures are directly from Google and the margin of error for statistics compiled in the South west doesn’t account for people from outside the region who now lives there.

This can't be possible , how can South East be ahead of South West ? I served in Anambra state ,55% of their student in SS2 can't read let alone write.
You expect honesty from the same people that have been going everywhere on the internet trying to manipulate and change history. I lived in Enugu myself, I know how many of those kids are left behind, the result will be out in a few years time. The erosion of culture and the need to make money in whatever way possible makes for a people who feel the need to compare rather than focusing on the real mission.

Nice try! Since we’re correcting grammatical errors here, your sentence is almost correct. Here are better versions:

Like:
• “You just proved that the statistic is very accurate.”
• “You just proved the statistic to be very accurate.”

“Correct” is usually used for factual correctness, while “accurate” sounds more natural with statistics.

In a globalized world what language is most useful? Hausa or English? Are WAEC and JAMB in Hausa? Is the SAT in Hausa? Are A levels in Hausa? There are million of Igbo and Yoruba speakers too, and they also speak English in addition to their native language.
So in your definition not able to read and understand English is Illiteracy.
Let me correct your illiteracy not being able to read and write in English is "English illiteracy" Same as not able to read and write in Hausa is "Hausa illiteracy".

These numbers say a lot about access to information and how we process it.

Makes you think about the habits we form, and the patterns that show up when we communicate every day.

Statisense keeps bombarding us with statistics without ever providing proper backing or sourcing methods.

For example, they can claim to give us statistics of the quantity of 'water' in Nigeria across all geopolitical zones without bothering to specify whether they are referring to rainwater, borehole water, treated table water, or streams.
