Christendom has chosen teachers for themselves to teach them what they want to hear {2Timothy 4:3-4} because it's clearly written in the scriptures that material riches has little or nothing to do with godliness. Ecclesiastes 9:11
There are many servants of God including Jesus himself who are not rich materially speaking yet they were counted among the righteous in God's memory book.
Worshipers of Mammon today are just disguising as worshipers of the true God! Matthew 6:24 compare to 2Corinthians 11:14

Why are you so pained and misinterpreting is statement. He opined that poverty makes people vulnerable. In a thousand years to come that statement will remain a valid statement. However, both the rich and poor do commit sin.
Look at how people sell vote during election for as low as 1k. If you are a rich man will you do that. Even good people will compromise due to severe difficulty which they will not do if they have money.

The scripture that you quoted there did not end there.
You guys speak as if God want Christians to be poor in the earth.

Mark 10:28-39

28 Then Peter spoke up, “We have left everything to follow you!”

30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.

Jesus had nothing what he promised is not physical but spiritual.
For instance as one of Jesus' disciples i have a home in all the countries on this planet where my fellow believers lives, i have brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, sons and daughters anywhere my fellow believers are.
Jesus made it practical when he told the person who referred to Mary and Jesus' siblings as his mother and brothers Jesus declared that his real family are those listening to him {Matthew 12:46-50} the day Jesus died he noticed that Mary has become one of his disciples so he told apostle John to adopt Mary as a mother! John 19:26-27
So the 100 folds of houses, brothers, sisters e.t.c Jesus talked about aren't to become our personal net worth the way worldly people rate things rather we will have all these things among our fellow believers and when we die it remains the properties of our fellow believers who allowed us to use them when we need them!
Jesus never had a home of his own but when he needed a big conference room for the passover a disciple borrowed him and his apostles. Mark 14:13-16

So real disciples of Christ don't need to have all the money in the world before we can live in any part of the world we want the only thing we need to do is become a true disciple who is ready to spend all his time preaching and teaching about God's Kingdom and houses, brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers and many more awaits us in all the countries of the world.

Why?

Because our fellow believers are there expecting to welcome us like real families do!🙂

Why polyandry isn't common in nature is simply because the paternity of the woman's kids will be ambiguous. In polygamy, the kid of any woman living with a man belongs to him

After phones, clothes creams etc, yet they will still fornicate or not? My point is riches doesn't stop sin neither is poverty the main driver of sin. Both sides of the divide could be prone to sinning.
Pride is a sin common with the rich as well. Or are you not aware many rich people tend to glorify themselves rather than God who gave them what they have?
That you have money will not stop you from fornication even if it does reduce your commercialization of fornication(known as prostitution).
