My brother, starlink is extremely fast. It is the streaming app that lags which are almost illegal and pirates
It's not about whether the streaming links are legal or not, as long it's streaming, it'd lag behind direct cable network.

Peacock TV, TNT Sport still lags behind direct cable transmission.

What channel does HGTV show on DSTV, and on which subscription package(s)?

Buy SLTV decoder they show all the matches. It’s 5k per month. EPL, champions league, laliga and more. All just for 5k per month. I don’t use dstv anymore.
SLTv stream contents from DSTv, hence the lag. The picture quality is abysmal, when we're not in 2010.

However, for people who don't mind the lag and SD picture quality, it's fine.

I totally understand what you meant but trust me if you are using a good IPTV service the lagging time won't be more than 30 seconds to 1 minute. May be you can try premium yourflix IPTV.
Iptv beat DStv in all ramifications.... There are loads of premium interest FHD channels on IPTV which you may end up being confused on which of the channels to watch.
IPTV and DStv are not mate

Yes, IPTV beats DSTv for content. But most times having all those contents when you aren't watching all at same time is a waste.

For me I mostly care about football. You pay $15 and still sub to watch the matches. Let's say u subscribe solely to watch matches for the month, you'd need at least 20gb, to be conservative.

20gb is about 7 to 8k. $15 is about 22k. That's about 30k total. Same amount for DSTv Compact+, and u get to watch all football matches. But with the DSTv, I don't get any lag time, 30s or 1min, whatever the case.

Even with 30s lag time, you're still watching highlights.

It will be hard to pinpoint any of the IPTV service that it's the best. Though some are better than others with little or no buffers. Though the most important thing is to have a good and strong internet provider.
The one am using it's yourflix IPTV and I will rate it 8/10. I did their 6months sub for $39 and I paid via PayPal

Better not to renew the contracts . Too many nonsense stations on dstv. Reduce your cost of operations, put the channels into groups of specialized channels . Put prices to the groups. Let subscribers select their groups and pay . That way they can end channels that are useless to their subscribers . I can just pick the movies package/sports/kids packages and pay just for that.

All those ones shouting Streaming Streaming streaming

I hate dstv also

But i hate streaming 10x more especially in this Nigeria

On Saturdays there could be 8 to 15 matches

You can watch them all on dstv with the build up show 1hr before , half time talks
Highlights
Club documentary
Current players documentary

I have tried streaming even with unlimited whatever, it keeps lagging

Or you get frustrated with adverts every 5mins

Alot of times the picture Quality will drop to 240p and try to pick up again to 1080p

The camera angles are always weird
The clear one will always not be speaking english commentary

The english commentary own will be in low quality

Unless you are below average

If you are working for your money, use your money and enjoy yourself

In the total cost for streaming football and watching movies sef, i will spend above 30 to 40k monthly

Dstv is 19k without any Lags except the first 10mins when heavy rain is about to start

I have tried streaming and I have tried dstv

I prefer watching HD on dstv without interruptions for a lesser amount I will spend on Data in a month

Also they keep my kids entertained with lots of channels for the kids

Oh yh, they show the full match again if I miss it

DSTv should just focus on broadcasting live sports. People interested in movies should use their Showmax.

Watching live football on DSTv is still better than streaming anyday and anytime. You don't bother about buffers, no time lag, no constant disconnection, etc.

I've tried normal streaming, like Yacine and 808. I've tried IPTV. I've tried Nashare2. I ended up frustrated eventually. I just had to switch back to DSTv for peace of mind.

You work hard to earn money so that you can afford some level of comfort and not add more misery to your life.

If you live in a compound and your neighbor uses DSTv for live football, while u stream, na then you go hate streaming. You go just dey watch highlights when your neighbor don shout goal like 2 to 3 minutes earlier.
DStv get level sha, that discovery channel go pain me die oo

You make me smile. May be You used a pirated and free streaming service thats why your review about streaming is negative.
Bros the IPTV service am using is 36 dollar for 6months, tivimate( IPTV player) and internet provider is starlink and mtn 5G. You will be marvel if you you see my channels collection and the quality.
SD quality channel(240p, 540p,....) are forbidden to be watched on my TV lol. I even hardly watch HD quality. What I watch is FHD even if Its a live football match..... And as for kids entertainment, DStv is a child's play compare to IPTV. My kids mainly watch these channels, "HULU Animation, YouTube, HBO FAMILY, SHOWTIME FAMILY, STARZ ENCORE FAMILY, SKY MOVIES FAMILy, BEIN FAMILY..etc" these are premium channel. And mind you. 90% of all DStv channels are in any good IPTV.
What I agree with you is the lagging in live football match. Especially premier League. But the lagging time is not more than 30 seconds to 1Minute if you are using a good IPTV service and DAZN sport channels

I came across this post while searching with information I just from read via an on-screen message notification.

I didn't see any mention of subscription reduction or replacement of those channels that are to be lost. Or do they intend providing fewer channels for the same price?

We shall see!

It's not about whether the streaming links are legal or not, as long it's streaming, it'd lag behind direct cable network.

Peacock TV, TNT Sport still lags behind direct cable transmission.
You listed Peacock and TNT as if you have its app on your device. E sure me say na yaccine abi football live tv be those piracy app

Well I have a very very different experience here

The quality is always very very poor

I can't stand it

To make it worse, the commentary is always arabic
The english commentary channel the quality is bad. If it enters 1080p it drags down

I can't cope with that
Refreshing and skipping 20seconds ads

The normal 19k a month is okay for my peace of mind biko

You mentioned starlink, cost effective for me Thats way too expensive just to watch TV
For what

Unless you have other things you are using starlink for

Lol, another comment out of ignorance and lack of comprehension. I suppose you didn't read my index post where I said I've used IPTV and Nashare2.

I guess Paramount TV and TNT Sports are not IPTV. They're available on NigComSat.

I also suppose your brain is telling u that people use IPTV and Nashare2 on phones.

How far, bro.

What's your experience with yourflix so far?

I recently got Starlink, and it wouldn't make sense to continue subbing DSTv at 30k.

I'm exploring options.
