as at 2014/2015 wn 1$ exchange for 180/190 naira , a small size gold jewelry was in the range of 250k naira for a new one and for a second hand gold, the aboki man will bargain for 150k.like they have a way they rewash and increase the value again.
Our currency has been so devalued now that a dollar is now 1400/1500 naira. So even if the gold didn't appreciate in value , the naira exchange rate wahala alone is enough to make the gold I talked about to be in the range of 2Million naira now.so if the worth of those ornaments she is holding was say 2.5M naira then before the Boko haram issue started, the exchange rate alone can make it appreciate to 20/25M naira. But what she could use 2m naira of 2014/2015 to achieve then (say a new small fine house 🏡) will still be likely what she would use the current worth of the gold to procure now.

If you truly knew the origin of Boko haram, even so many human rights organizations supported them at first owing to Mohammed Yusuf's and his members extra judicial killings, some of which were recorded and posted online. Nobody knew it will turn very bloody in just some few months to come. We don't have to play the religous card ( which is one of our greatest weaknesses) each time any topic is brought up. No, I'm not a Muslim, and I'm not a bigot nor fanatical about any Religion at all.
