Chickensoup:Yes, I want to mention that. Especially that drone part. It's very important, and not any how drone that doesn't have altitude, good camera system and long lasting battery. If it can carry Ordnance, good for them. |

Better Late than Never. This is the way forward, if each state in the Central Zone can form theirs too, we will wipe out those evil guys. We don't need America, it's our problem and we must resolve it by ourselves. |

I remember this response to the guy talking about drones and sophisticated technical solutions: https://www.nairaland.com/7970742/how-drones-used-end-kidnapping#129050369 "Boots on the ground. We need to send personel physically into the forests after them. All these ideas of importing sophisticated technology for those crude bandits is just hype. 20m can be enough incentive for a task force comprising vigilantes, community youth volunteers and soldiers. Especially in cases where they have victims that would slow them down and make noises. If our task force swings into action immediately they run into the Bush, we might be getting the chance to engage them in riffle shootouts and reduce their numbers progressively. We can also learn from the Vietnam snipers that learned to live in trees awaiting US commandos. We can allow communities build Bobby traps around their forests. The local hunters know how to build non-lethal ones for deterrence at least. We can change our firearms law to enhance self defense capabilities. We can even hire almajiri-boy insiders to join and deliver something like poison to them. Do you also think simple solutions can work better. |

Belurved1:I think you are in the Diaspora, because if you are in Nigeria and you have studied the nigerian map, you'll see that dangerous humans and not animals are moving through the forests destroying fauna and livestock and most importantly destroying human lives, also it is important to note that after Kwara, Ekiti state and all the southwest states are next in there trajectory. |

Kukutente23:Who is the "zombie" other than an unexposed individual who does not understand that, to a reasonable extent, leaders must be given the benefit of doubt to deliver on their pledges? If you believe the bolded then what are you doing on this forum since, according to you, nothing will change, no pledges from leaders will ever be delivered and hopelessness is our fate? Sometimes I wonder if some of you live under Eko bridge or have formal education and exposure |

They are too many. What's their budget? Can the State afford it? If they are armed ... which they should be ... what oversight is in place to ensure they don't go rogue and themselves break away and form bandit groups? We've seen this in the military and Police that go through extensive training. Can there be another way ... a more economical and effective way to have the same results? |

Ban open grazing first, arm then with assorted weapons and modern Tech for tracking. Because of hatred for Obaseki and the Benis the current IG of police ban Edo vigilantes and collected their arms. Very stupid IG |

Politicstoday:Good to go, at the same time let the government unfolds the financiers of terrorism in Nigeria, if really we want to diagnose the roots of these hydra headed monsters called terrorism and bring sanity to our country. May God almighty delivere this country from the hands of political hyenas who hypocritically manipulating this country negatively. If the names of sponsors of terrorism in Nigeria as was given to us by united Arab Emirates is anything to go by, this is the time our leadership should do the needful in the name of patriotism if they are not complicity. |
