Shameless people. Somehow ...all the said values they hold dearly ... and are accusing Nigeria of violating ..which they are.... they do not equally accuse Israel of doing same and worse.... they are supporting Israel to violate the very values . Can anyone be more hypocritical? |

The key highlights are: 1) Eliminating Boko Haram and others. 2) Abrogating Sharia law in twelve Northern States. 3) Disbanding the Hisbah police. Nigeria will know peace once these triple monsters are jettisoned. The question therefore is: will the Northern leaders (political/religious) accept these demands? @hotseat |

dre11:Dr Obadare: "Put pressure on President Tinubu to (a) make Sharia law unconstitutional in the twelve northern states where it has been adopted since 2000, and (b) disband the various Hisbah groups across northern states seeking to impose Islamic law on all citizens regardless of religious identity." ------------------------------------------------------------- Dr Obadare is most likely to be a Nigerian. He understood more than others the origin of the violence in Nigeria. Adoption of unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal justice system by the political and religious leaders in the 12 far north Nigeria states is the root of the Christian genocide in Nigeria. Boko Haram and its offshoots, the bandits, are fighting for a Nigeria to be governed with Sharia criminal laws. |

Every problems started with small unharmed step; I don’t know why Obasanjo government allowed the creation of Sharia Law in a country that is claimed to be democratic. Two laws in one country. I don’t know how this can be erased because it’s part of our problems. We gave northern too much chances to introduce anything they want. There must be only one Law. Obasanjo is going about talking like he is not part of the problems. Nigeria Insecurity problem is deep now because we neglected small irresponsible behaviors over the years which become uncontrollable. The economy problems and many other problems were created by past governments who neglected so many serious issues of National concerns |

Every country has its own problems and it's true security situations in Nigeria is worrisome. Same way in the US. From the screenshot below, see the mass shootings statistics in the US this year alone. 2025 and 2024

adexpa:Obasanjo called it "political sharia." It got rooted. Obasanjo frowned at adoption of unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal justice system then, but shied away from stopping Sani Yerima and co who introduced sharia criminal laws in the 12 far north Nigeria states. |

onuman:Where do you stand? Obasanjo allowed it anyways; the president of Nigeria is superior than any group. The problem of second term gave northerners many advantage of suggesting anything they want in the name of numbers |

huptin:Obviously you are clueless yo real agenda here. These clowns reps have people getting killed in their districts in daily basis via gun violence, drugs, mass shootings but they are more concerned about a fake genocide in Nigeria than they can't even provide evidence for. This is all political to switch world views away from a genocide that's on television on daily basis in Gaza. They have people like you to fall for their agenda. Grt a grip. 20 people could get shot in their district today and they will be silent or find one lame excuse as usual. We Americans know what thie agenda is all about but they know that some not too smart people will fall for their zionist agenda. |

Ebenezer obadare this closet Yoruba power nationalist , I have written to the council many times over the years on the need to review your analysis on Nigeria , you white washes Tinubu crimes and downplays the persecution of igbos , helped shape the narrative after the rigid election of Tinubu into power but am telling u this one go pass u |

Sirjamo:Sharia Law is fourkd-up, we believe in our constitution. Even the Bandits n boko haram can't uphold sharia but you asked what's their connection, it is simple Sharia is them and part of them. Or have you seen where Christian doctrines over ride state law? The malos of this contri are very greedy ppl they feel everything must be done their way even to the point of things that has to do with faith? Now see what they have given birth to. Gentleman don't be a monkey here |

dre11:And we are here paying the so called National Assembly monthly from tax payers' money and theirs is to go and eat presidential efo riro in times of national security emergencies where citizens are held up in bushes for ransome. E no go better for them from their leaders to the least. They suppress any discussions that tend to highlight the difficulties Nigerians are passing through during plenary. Dem go just off your mic..
