Converted to physical Sim yesterday and it doesn't work in my phone or MiFi. Only works in the router and my useless Smartbox router.

It works on X25 and some more portable routers (MIFIs). However, to work on mifi, you'd need to tweak it and some people do it for a fee.

That means this 50MPS plan works on routers and mifis that the earlier 20MPS works on right?!

Ok.. I will try to consider the odu but only to use at home ..it can't be Carry with me when ever I am going out

so its not possible to make this odu portable? for those who move around alot

just get a mifi i use tweaked mifi, when i'm home i use ODU when i'm going out i remove the sim and put in my mifi easy

VPNs actually help a lot. Found out when streaming. Some channels which refused to be stable are more than stable with VPN. Incredible!

ODU cannot be portable. Just find a suitable mifi that can be cracked to work with broadband sim cards and you are good to go.

Before getting ODU, I was on this thread writing about how I was waiting for the ones with physical sim; that was the reason.

You may need to check black market because most current official MIFIs won't work.

Buy ODU and try it with the one you bought. It's a win-win situation - you use the ODU and also use the MIFI. With 25K, you have the ODU, the subscription, and, more importantly, the IMEI you need for your experiment.

By the way, I would like to know which MIFI that is. You can share the model and the picture if you don't mind.

That gets me thinking if anyone has tried registering a fresh SIM using the SN and IMEI of a currently-in-use ODU. Would be interesting to find out if one still gets 50mbs on registration or if Airtel would block that.

will you tell the agent the imei /SN to use?? I don't think those are part of SIM registration requirements and if it is, that field should not be editable for agent alter

Yes!

As a matter of fact, if you get gifted an unregistered router, or bought one without registering, that's how you would normally register it. It's available on the UI of the Airtel registration software's home page. Routers are not registered as normal sim cards but using the SN and IMEI as Home Broadband(HBB).

I really doubt it will go except they have a poorly designed system. It should flag an error if attempt to do so since a SIM is already active on that imei number.

But again, if they can wrongly swap another number successfully with ease, I guess anything is possible with them. Will you be trying it so that we can know if it is possible or not??
