What if Harrison took that money as a delay tactics, to keep the kidnappers in contact with him so that he can map out their location. Harrison have in so many instances eliminated kidnappers and retrieved ransoms. If he gave them the complete money without tracking them, the kidnappers would be gone after collecting the ransom. But with a half payment and the husband still in their custody, they will still hang around.

zenburster:
Harrison, who has a documented history that includes serving jail time for armed robbery, is currently being scrutinized for his actions. So his tweets yesterday was just him trying to front-run the allegations that he knew were coming.

As I discussed recently with a knowledgeable source, individuals like Harrison are often seen as products of a dysfunctional society.

The most reasonable comment I've seen since yesterday

If Nigeria's institutions were functioning effectively, we wouldn't see phenomena like rampant abduction and kidnapping becoming the norm.

The more pressing issue is the alarming trend of a private citizen embarking on dangerous rescue missions.

What is the justification for this?

What formal training or expertise does he possess in areas like hostage negotiation or tactical operations?

This situation highlights the fundamental breakdown of order in the country, suggesting a thoroughly "upside-down" system.

This situation bears a striking resemblance to the trajectory of Segalink between 2018 and 2021.
He gained prominence by presenting himself as an activist and lawyer capable of helping civilians arrested by the Nigerian Police/SARS.
However, Segalink was eventually exposed as a government operative, specifically, an aide who was allegedly the handler of the official Nigerian Police Force (NPF) Twitter account and a Special Assistant (SA) to the Minister of Police Affairs.

Since then, he has abandoned the Nigerian social media space.

Considering the allegations against Harrison, I believe he is likely guilty of the offenses being attributed to him.

In my view, he should be subjected to a rigorous investigation ("held by the brokos"wink until the full truth is revealed.

I hold a strong conviction that there are very few altruistic activists in Nigeria.

Ultimately, they are almost always revealed to be motivated by self-serving interests, be it political favor, fame, or financial gain.

This pattern has been observed in public figures ranging from former activists turned politicians, such as Oshiomole and Keyamo, to other controversial figures like VDM, Segalink, and now this latest individual, Harrison.

TLDR: Whatever they say Harrison did? He did that shit

I have been wanting to ask, what's his gain in helping people negotiate the release of their kidnap relatives. Honestly I can't really vouch for him whether he did what he was accused of or not.
But one thing I know is that, all this NGO's, Charity organization and personal foundations are for gains to the owner nothing more.
