madridguy:They can still issue citation. which the court can now decide if you can pay fine. if you fail to pay the fine the court can empower them to cease your vehicle. Given Nigerians attitude toward judicial compliance, they will still have the job of enforcing court judgement on the road. This judgement just confirm that they can not be the prosecutor, judge and jury on the road. |

These Agbero in uniform will still not obey the court order especially in Lagos. Disbanding VIO in Lagos is like rendering half of Tinubu’s touts and election riggers jobless. |

Very annoying set of people! Even today they were at the Traffic Light close to Eagle Square stopping vehicles when their appeal has not been heard, the orders by the High Court not vacated. I almost cleared on of them. Their cash office inside Eagle Square that used to be a beehive of activities is now lying dusty. No more Commercial Drivers loitering and begging with their hard earned money. |

The judgement is more of Abuja FCT than any state. Lagos has distanced herself from the judgement before now This gladden my heart |

I always said it that these guys are just criminals acting outside their jurisdiction. Their job description is never to stand on the roads with sticks, planks, iron rods etc. They know they are supposed to work from their offices while we bring in our vehicles for inspection as and when due. But everything about Nigeria is always backwards and with useless force. That's why the country continues to retrogress. We are the ones sabotaging this country. |
