Its a welcome development if content creators can really earn from their products and services the way most people are earning from what they do online like streaming gameplays and other stuff. They should also look that does using their cards to purchases groceries and other stuff from online market places to be earning some cashbacks. My taught though

You earn according to your audience.

Ads rate(cpm) in Africa is low. That's why content creators with African audience earn less.

Facebook makes money from ads. It is from these money that facebook pays content creators. So a country that has high ads rate(cpm) will have content creators earning high.

Madam, you should do some research before putting up a bill. US content creators are the richest in the world for obvious reasons. Nigerians cannot earn like them.

Be guided in your highly IRRESPONSIBLE use of defamatory comments, derailing of threads and spread of toxic disinformation here. You and your ilk have been warned!

While others are giving out functional or useful responses, you and some other irredentists and paid secessionist troll farms relentlessly spew out toxic disinformation and hatred on this NL international discussion forum and other online platforms. This will NOT be tolerated and there will be swifter consequences from here on out.

It is either she does not understand the reasons or she is just playing to the gallery by making suggestions to make Nigerian content creators earn as well as their U.S counterparts when she knows that the fundamentals are not the same.

I don't think she did enough research before her presentation.

There is ALSO a needvfor regulation to ensure that ONLY credible young people are allowed to use social media to generate sustainable income based off of good content

I see a lot of crappy YouTube videos from wannabe Nigerian YouTubers and bloggers who spread massive disinformation online and fake news as click baits
. This MUST NEVER be allowed to continue as China has recently implemented a regulation for content creators on social media which Nigeria can copy to suit her own realities. Period.
