I agree with Donald trump that sharia must be gotten rid of, but the problem is, tinubu cannot abrogate a section of the constitution just like that. If he tried it, he would be impeached or at best censured for not following due process.

To remove sharia from the constitution requires a two thirds majority vote in the national assembly plus two third votes in two thirds of all state assemblies, and the assent if the president which is a big ask and has the possibility of causing crisis too.

Trump is speaking to his base, he isn't speaking to Nigerians and he shows a great ignorance of how Nigerian law works .

I agree with you on that. However, northerners will not trade Sharia with one Nigeria. No body can impose that on them not even America that you worship.
