Having recognised that the defendant was granted administrative bail by the EFCC and came to court from home, and based on that, I grant the defendant bail in the interim pending the ruling on his bail application,” Kereng said. The judge therefore adjourned the case to January 13 and 14, 2026, for ruling on the bail application and hearing of the case. |

Sermwell:Nit really selective, evidences plus a complaint or obvious financial crime. You didn't sound surprised nothing was mentioned about the registrar? |

Plentiful all over Nigeria. In fact, all Nigerian judges are into it. It's a normal practice in Nigeria and it's mostly done through the court registrar...it's like a cartel kind of practice strictly guarded. All those lawyers, judges, justices, magistrates etc.....are mostly very very very corrupt......"Wig of Corruption" Port8080: |

Sermwell:Yahaya Bello is still in court. Ganduje, like you mentioned, one one of the glaring cases signalling institutional weakness in our country but as much as we can weed them out, let's do so. If you lose a a case you have good grounds because the judge was compromised, then you'd understand better why we need to weed them all out both high and low. |

erniok2:EFCC's job based on FATF framework that was used to create it in 2003 is to track illicit funds and money laundering especially by politically connected persons How does a magistrate accepting bribe fit into that description especially in the light of the reality of corruption in high places in Nigeria? |
| Re: EFCC Arraigns Gombe Magistrate Over ₦1.4 Million Bribery Allegation by erniok2: 10:49am On Dec 05, 2025 |
L Kukutente23:Find attached EFCC legal framework. It includes corrupt practices which is why their functions are similar to ICPC. It was well within their purview to arrest, investigate and prosecute the corrupt. This is why they arrest vote buyers. They only thing as someone pointed out is that they go for the easy preys while Abuja looters keep smiling.

erniok2:As you can see, efcc's primary responsibility is money laundering, 419 and other illicit financial flows. I've not said they don't have the powers to investigate and prosecute corruption but what I'm saying is that they abandon their core mandate to be chasing peripheral issues that even icpc can easily handle

I have similar experience though I'm heading to high court.for a magistrate to said she doesn't understand the word development in a building. And the beneficiary have collected monetary benefit after I've finished the work. A simple Google search will prompt the meaning of building development. They sell justice to highest bidder in this country. How is Building Development defined in a legal contract? Building Development means the process of developing, constructing, extending, substantially upgrading any new or existing structure for various purposes. This includes business, trade, service, industry, agriculture, residence, recreation, religion, education, and other similar purposes. Infrastructure related to these structures is also included. Seen in 6 SEC filings Building Development means the method of changing the condition of the land to make it more usable. This is achieved by constructing or placing a building on the land. Seen in 4 SEC filings Building Development means the act of constructing or installing any building or structure. The building or structure is useful and requires the installation of essential utilities such as a water supply system or a sewage disposal system. Seen in 2 SEC filings Building Development means the process of constructing, erecting or locating a structure on any lot pursuant to a set definition outlined in a specific part of the contract. Seen in 2 SEC filings Building Development means the design proposal for the creation of a building or group of buildings. It includes the provision of ancillary services, site works and other related aspects. Seen in 1 SEC filing Building Development means the alteration of the character of land from its existing state. This is achieved by constructing or placing one or more buildings on the land, and/or changing the character of an existing structure. The change is done for purposes like rental, condominium conveyance, or combined business and residential use. It does not include the construction of customary outbuildings such as garages, sheds, and barns, residential building additions not involving rental units or condominiums, and building additions for cottage industry.
