The local government people that the case was filed on their behalf are no longer in power.

Just their arrears were paid, they couldn't touch the rest of the money for other activities until this landmark judgement which which also serves as template for other local governments in Nigeria that have long been suffocated by greedy both past and present governors

That's why I was asking you if it makes sense for Osun state government to go to FHC to institute a case to stop allocations to APC-elected Chairmen if they believe that a court has sacked them?

Why ask court to stop allocations to "sacked" Chairman? Ṣọrọniyen?.

Federal government must stick to local government autonomy and pay directly to local government authorities.

The free money has made governors gluttonous and lazy, the lazy heads can not use the resources and funds at their disposal to create more wealth, all they do is lavish.

He didn't do so to delay it. What the Supreme Couet is saying that the FG had no right to withhold the funds, however, it is the LGs themselves that should have filed and it shouldn't have been directly to the SC but to the FHC and then it will come up to the Appeal Court and then SC. If the Governor wanted to really delay, he will have gone through the FHC route as it will take more time.

He was simply naive.

Because the governors refused to play their roles in helping local governments open their own accounts. They had to use power to bypass Ademola in Osun state while trying to open the accounts
