Nothing wrong here. I watched the full video. It was the president that gestured to her to come forward. She respectfully went and took the president’s hand. Why is OP turning this simple act to politics? Not liking the president shouldn’t make us forget God gave us brains for free.

What so special about the General?
The same general that was part of the Army when they couldn't defeat Boko Haram.
It just propaganda of the highest order.

Who are the people that you have giving the power to ban people on this site? Do something or else we go leave this forum for you and them.

Why do Agbadorians celebrate subservience so much? Perhaps it is borne out of their sycophantic nature. What is worth celebrating in this? No wonder Tinubu coined a personal anthem for you all to recite. It's the highest form of low self-esteem. If General Musa was recruited based on competency and capacity and he's here to serve, he need not kowtow to show gratitude. It's a responsibility on his shoulder, not a reward. Nigerians should be the ones showing him gratitude after having delivered.
Has it occured to you that it is part of some people's culture to kneel to greet elders? Guess you didn't see billionaire otedola when he fully prostrated before Tinubu

our problem no fit finish as a nation if this is the best news we can delibrate upon

I respect even my own kids not to talk of elders and it's shouldn't be a big issue
We Yoruba s always respect elders no matter what it's in our DNA and it's shouldn't be a issue

First of all she genuflected not kneel

Secondly her name shows she's from the Niger Delta, possibly Delta state where kneeling for elders is not part of their culture

Thirdly, I don't see that the heck is the big deal in her genuflecting for Tinubu. If anything it shows she respect his age and office and there's nothing much to it after all, Teni a Yoruba lady refused to kneel for Buhari since she did not see him as deserving of her respect.

It has nothing to do with culture since both Tinubu and Mrs Musa are not from same cultural background

I have been on at an event where a major Emir from the North was greeting one by one as he passed a group of us and everyone was bowing. Coming to my turn, i just looked him coldly in the eye and he moved on.

Mrs. Oghogho Christopher Musa who from her name is a Benin-Edo or Esan-Edo woman from Edo State ONLY curtsied/genuflected which is a standard mode of greeting by females in some of the Niger Delta communities, among the indigenous Yorubas of West and Central Nigeria right into Benin Republic and Togo... and more.

So, those highly irresponsible young male posters right on Page 1 of this thread who are castigating her MUST know that Nigeria isn't a culturally monolithic country and has over 300 DISTINCT ethnic groups with different cultural practices. Those insidious boys of South East of Nigeria origin on Page 1 of this NL thread who are criticizing her and others MUST learn to RESPECT other ethnic groups' or people's centuries-old cultures.

There's a prominent White woman who I read visited Nigeria a few years ago and she being culturally aware as a well-traveled person to many countries of the world was fascinated and highly impressed by the way women curtsied for elders on her visit to Lagos State and a few other cities.

Mrs. Florence Fatima Ajimobi whose biological father is a Lebanese Arab and her biological mother is an Urhobo was recently at the Palace of the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rasheed Ladoja and she was seen in pictures posted right here on NL where she curtsied for the Oba of Ibadanland. Period.

That is how typical Africa women greet an elderly men in Africa. especially in Nigeria. Even some white people respect their elders too. When the Queen was alive you can't great her standing erect , who born your father. Apart from being the president of the most populous Africa country, Tinubu is also an elder states man and deserved to be respected by a well culture Africa lady like wife of the new Defence Minister of Nigeria.

This is the Igbo man life. Full of pride. General Musa no doubt is good but he's not the only one. There could be others better. Anyone that gives you the opportunity then you should be grateful. This is humility. It costs you nothing but you gain a lot.

That’s exactly how people see it … if you’re called to serve base on your competency, you don’t need to be bowing up and down, prostrating on the floor… you can do that after you’ve finished rendering your service to show

“It’s an honour to serve “

And to thank whoever appointed you… it’s then your eye service will be valued by the public..,

Doing it before resuming your job only shows you’re incompetent and only saw an opportunity to steal public funds, because there’s nothing to be happy about state of Nigeria insecurity, in fact this type of position, honourable people that have nothing to offer shy away from it or even reject the opportunity.
Don't worry proud man. When you have twenty PhD and a job is offered to you don't have the decency of saying thank you to the person that offered you the job. You are the only one competent.

Nigerians should stop this. There is nothing wrong with her actions, it's just a sign of respect from a well trained wife. She is coming in contact with the 1st Nigerian citizen who is the president of the country and her husband boss. If it were the minister of defence that did that, It could have been inappropriate for somebody at that level to do that but that does not mean Christopher musa don't respect the president.

Painment. If someone offers you an opportunity then you will not have the decency of saying thank you? It's a sign of terrible upbringing.

If I ask any of my staff do a job and he does it well I will always thank him even though I pay him. It's a sign of decency and it portrays you as a gentleman.

Some of our people's culture is terrible. In Anambra your younger sibling that you might be even fifteen years older will call you by your name. No respect. It's now that they are using the English words "brother or sister"

Exactly what I wanted to say..
What is wrong with these people?
If it is not how Tiwa knelt to greet Don Jazzy or Osibanjo, it is how Musas wife knelt to greet Tinubu.
They just like kneeling and rolling on the floor!

What kind of irritating bunch of willing serfs are these.
Everyday, we are regaled here with stories of how one person or the other lay on the floor to greet an Oba or a governor. They like to lay on the floor to worship their fellow humans..
Is this not inferiority complex?

They hardly criticise their Obas. Easier to see a northerner lambasting his governor than to see a anyone from the South West doing so. And that's why their states look worse off when compared to other regions.
It's all about bowing to humans like they are God and getting upset with anyone who refuses to do so..
People celebrating kneeling every time is quite embarrassing. In fact, it's a crying shame. But so, sir, is your undisguised tribalism and hate. As the Muslim say, may God guide all of you!

All these Epistles........ what's your pain exactly?
A woman and a wife with good home training and upbringing will always show her heart of appreciation. She was not forced to kneel down for PBAT, she's not GenZ and she values that position that was given to her husband.

Humans are difficult to please! If she doesn't do it, you will talk. If she does it, na wahala.

Wetin una want exactly? For her to be jumping up or what?
