Before yesterday Burnley had scored more league goals than Leeds so say something else and they scored at the Etihad so another moot point.

Like Maresca said none of the players turned up yesterday. They have themselves to blame for that shambolic performance and result. Palmer coming on actually made us worse. The game completely passed him by and he was not involved at all. Missed a big chance that should have tied the game as well.

At least we can attribute Liverpool disastrous season to complacency.They won the league last season.

We will struggle to build a league-winning team until we actively move to change the profile of players in our midfield. This is why I was pushing for Rogers to be signed in the summer. Rogers can do what Enzo is meant to do and a whole lot more for a fraction of the cost.

If Caicedo does not play, that's our entire midfield gone. Dr Lavia is never available, and it looks like Essugo came in and immediately went and broke bread with Dr Lavia. Santos still needs a season or two.

Enzo is good at almost nothing, Joao is too weak and indecisive and Palmer is not match fit.

Of course the return of Caicedo and a fit Palmer elevates us immediately, the problem is when both these guys are out, we are toast.

I pray and hope these players get back on time so i will know your next excuse.
