Abayomi Arabambi, National Publicity Secretary, Labour Party has said, 'The Constitution of Nigeria gives the President the right and prerogative to appoint ambassadors. However, these nominations must be confirmed by the Senate to take effect. I believe that the Senate, led by Senator Akpabio, will do justice to the list of nominees. While Reno Omokri is qualified, his history of abusing the President on some occasions may count against him.'

Akpabio and Tinubu will take care of the nominee list. Those who will go will go, and those who will stay will stay. Even Reno wey Dey beg for 50k will get a special appointment.

He is undoing it!

Tinubu has no control over people's character. You only need to go there and prove you're good for the role and if not, you will be booted

People make mistakes... It's not a crime

It becomes a problem when you allow someone who is struggling or not fit to remain in a position where he isn't delivering.

By nominating Reno Omokri, Tinubu has shown he lacks integrity, and that loyalty doesn't pay. Imagine abandoning the people that has stood by him through thick and thin, and nominating someone that called for them to rebel against him. Someone that called him a well known drug lord. What an aberration.

The nomination of Reno would be a surprise as he was a fierce critic of president Tinubu before the election.

Let his supporters go and lobby the presidency for him.

“I have facts to back this up, I have documents to back it up. I spent my money, went to Chicago, went to court, and got certified true copies to prove that Bola Tinubu is a drug lord,” he said.

In 2022, omokri led a protest against Tinubu at the Chatham House in the United Kingdom.

In 2023, during an interview with Channels TV, omokri ruled out ever working with Tinubu.

“I cannot do it. It is just against my principles. Some people can do that, but it is not in my DNA. It is never going to happen. I wish Bola Tinubu well, but I can never work with him,” he said.

omokri’s nomination may face additional hurdles following a petition submitted to Senate President Godswill Akpabio and other senators by a former mayor of Blanco City, Texas, in the United States, Mike Arnold.

In the petition shared on his X handle, Arnold described omokri as a “danger” to Nigeria, warning that if appointed as an ambassador, he would de-market the country.

“Do not let this man carry your flag. He will embarrass you on the world stage within six months,” Arnold said.

They should go and beg Peter Obi to intervene for them.
