The ambassadorial list has been sent to the Senate for screening. Ndume should go and lobby the other senators to reject it if he feels so strongly about it.
When the tables will turn, also remember that senators can be lobbied o.

He should bring Buhari's scorecard in every areas of political appointments and place it side by side with Tinubu's appointments. Let's check so we can make adjustments to make it equal.

Alternatively, he should wait for the turn of the north to bring this up.

It was also noted that the only nominee from Yobe, Senator Adamu Garba Talba, died last July.

call in the defenders, apc E-rats to come defend this. on attempt to defend it this afternoon, one laptop boy was doing a bad job by spamming the thread with jargons
I wonder how and we hy these people keep appointing dead people. I think Buhari also made the same error.

The entire Northeast has 7 nominees on the list, while the Southwest zone alone has 15 nominees

Ndume should keep calm abeg. When Buhari was doing nepotism employing from the North they all kept mum. Now Tinubu has taking it to another level. When another President enters, the South West will feel the pains others are feeling now in terms of appointments. The North should shut up!

The Senator representing Yobe State passed on in July 2025. He will definitely be replaced with another credible person.

Yobe State and her twin sister State of Borno have very educated, brilliant people both Muslims (and non-Muslims from the Southern parts of Yobe and Borno). I know these facts because I've been friends with folks from those areas right from the 1980s who are in senior positions as professionals and in politics.
Don’t shift goal post, the question I asked is why was a dead man who died since July of last year name losted as an ambassador?
Cuz the way you guys defend anything from this govt is really cr*zy

The people I pity the most are Igbo governor who keep pushing for South political agenda where they are never respected and given due appointments.

"The entire Northeast has 7 nominees on the list, while the Southwest zone alone has 15 nominees.

The Northwest and Southeast have 13 and 9, respectively.

North Central has 10 nominees in the list of career and non-career ambassadorial nominees, while South South accounts for 12 nominees."

Ndume and drama are 5 and 6! Here's that paragraph again;

South West--15
North West--13
South South--12
North Central--10
South East--9
North East ---7

Making it 36 from the South and 30 from the North.

Withdrawing the entire list would be like using a chainsaw for a job that calls for a scalpel! And the honorable Senator from the great state of Borno seems to favor the dramatics over the logical, which governance deserves. Yes, there was an oversight in submitting a list with a deceased name on it and the list might not satisfy the Federal character requirements as it stands today; but governance is a continuum, not isolated packets of events. These things can be remedied without throwing out the entire list.

This guy should rest ! We have over 100 countries in the world with Nigerian embassy or consulate, BAT sent just 65 names , states with no representative will get theirs when more ambassadors are nominated its not a one off thing .
Re: Ndume Urges Tinubu To Withdraw Ambassadorial List by dederocs(m): 9:18am On Dec 07, 2025
That list should be torn to pieces and burnt. We can't be putting forward the worst of us, when we have credible sophisticated men of integrity, we can't be giving important political offices to political sycophants and stooges.

If Gombe has NO credible or qualified career diplomat or politically appointed diplomat designate, what can President 'Bola Tinubu do? Is Ali Ndume going to force him to create a space for Gombe State.

Ali Ndume should STOP being a highly notorious wet blanket! Period
Baba what are you saying? a whole state has no representative and you are saying that they might not have a professional and competent representative. Bro! this is magnanimous nonsense from you and a fatal error from the president. Not even a local government can be said that it has no professional and competent representative in almost all the field let alone an ambassador that a history, diplomatic graduate or international relations graduate can fit in.

Tinubu is clueless normally

He rewards mediocrity and criminality

You’ll see more people like Reno and FFK springing out from all tribes knowing Tinubu would reward them

A thief who doesn’t reward positivity and human value

Just be a human of questionable character and see how Tinubu would reward u
In your quest to be noticed you even bolded all the characters add extra space between sentences and you still end up saying your trashy lies as usual grin

Do you know or realize that ttere are no differences between a thief and a liar? Stop lying against Tinubu and Reno and FFK or anyone without prove that's the basic requirement for anyone who wants to speak truth as you want to claim. Not hearsay but proof is what you need to accuse people... Haba grin

Don't take my post here out of context. I won't take that from you. I CLEARLY spoke rhetorically right in my post based on specific contexts and "confluence of events." Most of the Ambassadorial nominees are an eclectic mix of non-career diplomats favouring APC members (made up of the two UK-educated lawyers, such as Reno Omokri, Femi Fani-Kayode, and more) and the usual career diplomats. It's NOT all LGAs that would have qualified SENIOR career diplomats with backgrounds in the Foreign Service. So, are you going to lower the Foreign Service standards just BECAUSE you want to accommodate just anybody to represent Gombe State? It was all a rhetorical comment I made.

However, I recall that Bagauda Kaltho (the famous Journalist who got killed in the 1990s via a parcel bomb blast in Kaduna) is from Gombe State, therefore, I'm NOT doubting that brilliant folks such as Bagauda Kaltho exist in Gombe State. I used to read Bagauda's magazine column back in the 1990s, so, he was very brilliant in his analysis. The then Governor 'Bola Tinubu renamed the NUJ Press Center (now officially "Bagauda Kaltho Press Center" in Lagos State) to honor Bagauda's sacrifices in the journalism and pro-democracy struggle against the corrupt Abacha Military dictatorship.

Learn to read properly before responding to threads. Some veteran NL posters and I have observed how some monikers jump right into NL threads without understanding the keywords and contexts used and then you start acting aggressively. I blocked a boy right on this same thread for taking my post out of context. I've been a veteran member of this discussion forum with an older account for 20 years (now since 2005) and the last 3 years have been the WORSE period ever which has thrown up a crop of young posters who jump impulsively (with short attention spans) into threads without reading posts and topic titles properly, and liberally use insults.

sir, with due respect there is nothing sarcastic, ironic or out of context about your post you were bold and explicit that if Gombe state has no competent and professional diplomat what should president Tinubu do? And I said that it is not possible to have that in place in a whole state because there is no some specific criteria and protocols in picking ambassadors especially non career ambassadors base on what you studied or what you are doing.

Ironically, you can study anything and still be handpicked as an ambassador by a president let alone professional courses that goes with the career are history, international relations, and deplomatic studies which is not possible not to find a Gombe indigene that has not studied those courses but we know age comes with with wisdom that is why you are trying to emotionally blackmail me as well use out of context and age to exploit the truth! If not why using age as a weapon and a bullet of attack while shifting the goal post? You clearly said the obvious and because I stood for the TRUTH you are saying I don't understand your discuss and took it out of context!
