Which Burkina Faso? Una go just dey cap wetin no make sense. Why don't you leave Nigeria and relocate to Burkina Faso.

Those ibos advocating for a military take over in Nigeria, should first start with their five south east states. Let them remove their Governors : Alex Otti, Hope Uzodinma, Charles Soludo etc, and then appoint Hausa officers as states administrators. Let's start from their first
Whenever they talk about Burkina Faso I just laugh. Burkina Faso is sinking fastly everyday.

Our President is also not influential enough, if not he would have been able reign in these clowns and order them to return to barracks. And all these guys know our military is now weak. No fear again. Everyone is doing anyhow in West Africa. No strong leadership

Any coup I'm Nigeria marks the beginning of the end of this country of nations. All the nations forced together will rise.

Nigeria's military should not even try it as it will expedite what's bound to happen!

The only ethnicity holding Nigeria as one is Yoruba!

This guys have seen how Burkina Faso is fast becoming a new country from what she used to be.
Has nothing to do with Burkina Faso and everything to do with the waning influence of France in Africa. The Francophone countries are going through the same cycle the anglophone countries went through when the British withdrew.

Benin is a country that has less value to the West because it doesn't have the oil or gold to steal so this coup will receive less international attention.

The army of the Zoo keep learning how to execute an ordinary coup from small small countries.
This military here na complete amateur akara chewing baby soldiers that only show working when they see harmless civilians.

And what are the seeds of this tragedy in Benin Republic.

The manipulation of the electoral contest towards indirectly extending the tenure of the incumbent by rooting out any possibility of a REAL change of government. A classic case of the goat pushed to the wall.

This has been the bane of democracy in Africa.
The manipulation of already weakened institutions to toe the line of feudalism.

Let democracy work in it's purest form and coups will not exist, but no. They cannot willingly let go AND WALK AWAY after their tenure is over or when the citizens are fed up with their rule.

They must manipulate the system. Buy up institutions, trample upon the voices of those calling for justice so as to perpetuate themselves in government one way or the other.

If Jonathan did not walk away in 2015 this democracy may as well have ended shortly after.

So the onus is on this present Nigerian government to govern well and leave when it's tenure is over or when the people say enough is enough. Only it will decide whether the hard fought for democracy will endure another twenty five years.

There is no substitute for social justice and equity and the security and prosperity of the people cannot be negotiated or excused.

Shows the low quality leadership class mentality. We have the worst of us in power, who can't move majority of the people forward, otherwise the people won't support these regimes, and without the people's support regime will collapse...African Union must have a strong military unit, mobilised to go into action, this is the only thing that can deter coupists, counter stronger force.
So because some soldiers overthrow the democratic government then it means the people support the soldiers? Nawa for una thinking sense o. You need democratic institutions or process to move forward as a people.

If coup is the democratic process then expect a counter coup anytime and see if you can move forward as a people with that process but you can't move forward rather you will be digging a hole because of the back and forth government changes without established time frame.

What is causing these coup in francophone countries in Africa is the total disengagement of France from their affairs not because the people support the coup plotters.

Because of the unstability (used on purpose because, the word instability could not described the present situation) of Nigeria

I am sorry to say this

Coup galore in West Africa countries lately

Benin has been stagnant in terms of development for decades.
Nigeria is already in abyss, with APC totally destroying the livelihood of Nigerians, destroying the value of Naira and sponsoring terrorist and terrorism all over the country. Now they are using taxation to kill the already impoverished Nigerians.

Do you even know what you are saying? If stagnant you mean their currency has remained the same, then it is better than ours that has been dynamic by depreciating.
2000
800NAIRA=10,000 CFA

2015
3000NAIRA =10,000CFA

2025
26,000NAIRA =10,000CFA!

Benin republic those days you take little naira and you are a big man envied all over, once they hear your voice, identify you are a Nigerian they will desturb you for money, today little west African countries laugh at our currency.
Helinues has never been to Benin Republic. I have a base in Cotonou. There is nothing like power failure and the water is from the water board. Tarred roads everywhere. Law and order everywhere. I routinely move around at 2am, 3am and no fear of insecurity whatsoever.

This coup is actually about power struggle and not governance because if it is governance, Talon has been the best Benin Republic has ever had.

*Whereabouts of President Talon unknown
Donald Trump would rather spread hatred and act like a useless 15th century tyrant than promote democracy in his so called shit hole African countries therefore, allowing North Korea and Russia to change the dynamics of West African politics in the foreseeable future. Shame on the present crop of politicians in the US both Democrats and Republicans. Shame on all the people who voted a village idiot. George Walker Bush is a Republican yet he seriously promoted democracy in Africa. Same with Clinton and Obama. Biden tried his best also until this low intelligent convicted felon became president.
West Africa is fast becoming the world's hottest "Ring of Coups" and the security situation will get worse for sure. Maybe these Africans are seeing the packaged fraud called democracy as an instrument of western exploitation. I'm sure that Ecowas and the AU won't lift a finger. Benin Republic fall to the hands of guys who should be in the barracks and borders to protect Ecowas which translates to more freedom for the jihadists. We haven't seen any improvement in the security situation of Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso and I'm sure things will get worse in Porto Novo and Cotonou from now.
For those illeterates saying Burkina Faso is the newly developed country in Africa, why don't you relocate your entire family there and discover that real life is not the same as military propaganda. Shior!! As for the politicians looting the countries dry, carry go now. Dem no dey tell pesin but remember that not all coups are peaceful oh.

This thing is getting closer little by little. God forbid it in Nigeria. Only children who never witnessed military rule call for them to overthrow the govt.
Nobody is wishing for coup. But the politicians too should do better. If they prefer to dey do anyhow without respect for the citizens, that is when calls for coup happens.

If they deliver good Govornance, nobody, absolutey nobody will remember the Military
