fergie001:Africa, global pariah is the dawn of civilization. Might is right. The irony of the laziest military in the world with no skill or means to protect their territorial boarders are often so quick to grab power fork civilians to garner wealth for itself |

Dohn:I thought I'm the only one that noticed it. Even our Northern brothers Bandits and Fulani militants terrorists look well kitted than these charlatans and rag tag riff-raffs. Chai! We miss one man in this country at this moment. Olusegun Obasanjo na MAN you be. You would have given direct order to those rag tag urchins to immediately vacate that place or face just one battalion of the Nigerian Army. What we have here now in Aso Villa is rather a managed and unstable half gone occupier of Nigeria presidency who is more concerned in 2027 than Nigeria greatness. This is time to show our prowess internationally and stamp our big brother strength and authority. |

This is not good for the region especially Nigeria. How people still cheer for military take over of government is something I'll never understand. They have proven themselves to be totally inept at governance or delivering meaningful development. ECOWAS needs to be decisive about this menace in the sub-region. fergie001: |

fergie001:This is the reason military in Africa are doing this. When I was in Secondary school I read from government textbooks the reason military may take-over. Corruption! But still, politicians keep behaving as if they never attend secondary school. Somebody would be given political position today, within two months he/she becomes richer than civil servants who spent 35 years in service . National Assembly wouldn't debate this serious national issue ![]() |

What I lived in rep of Benin for a long time, thank goodness I left before this new development! This isn't good news. I wonder how the military will handle the country notwithstanding it's stable economy and the CFA currency. |

You people talked without reasoning. Their monthly pay is equivalent to 28k while the president is earning thousands of dollars monthly. This is just the beginning, some are even preparing for 2027, they don't know what is coming tomorrow. Tell your slave masters it's coming home. hatchy: |

God1000:The emergence of coups in Africa, especially in West Africa signals the failure of democracy. Honestly, there's no true democracy in Africa. People hardly find the dividends of democracy in our current times. Military rule is not better, but the democratic principles we practice is in its amorphous state of derogatory standard. When people get pissed off, they're compelled to seek for the alternatives. |

helinues:Military takeover is a good development Fie Burkina Faso is now thriving just few months in military government. Democracy doesn't favour almost all African nations. Africa can now determine the system of govt that favour their peculiarity and circumstances. Democracy is a system of govt forced on the world by USA. It has a lot of loopholes and leeways where civilian dictators can capitalize on to seat tight for long Militarism is a way to go |

[quote author=Jakpon post=137716362]Which Burkina Faso? Una go just dey cap wetin no make sense. Why don't you leave Nigeria and relocate to Burkina Faso. Those ibos advocating for a military take over in Nigeria, should first start with their five south east states. Let them remove their Governors : Alex Otti, Hope Uzodinma, Charles Soludo etc, and then appoint Hausa officers as states administrators. Let's start from their first [/quott Good you mentioned Ibos because the last I checked, there is no tribe from Nigeria called "Ibos" meanwhile, the last allegedly planned military takeover in Nigeria, those names behind it, what region are they from? This hatred and tribalism you guys are promoting in this country is getting out of control. |

dederocs:So the people are supposed to plan another coup or fight the solider as they fought the politicians who the soldiers overthrew? The people would carry on with their lives as they did before; suffering and smiling but harder under the military rule that they don't know when it's going to change good or bad ![]() As bad as every form of government is they are better than a military rule anywhere. |
