↓yes, I remembered the sarakis coz I went to Anglican grammar sch and their family house is close by. Chai! I really pray that God will save and deliver us from APC. We never had it this bad.

I still remember even as a child, when those women do troop to go and collect food stuffs , I will tease them and ask them to buy me sweet when coming back, they in turn will tease me back and say, see how fresh and beautiful you look and they will go ahead and say ' wo, Tope, ( the yoruba name they gave me ) omi ilorin la fi we o, o ni pada si ile Igbo mo, ilorin ni o fe o. Kai ! I love ilorin , just that the people are truly poor. It's well daddy
Wow! So you mean grew up in Ilorin? That's why it's not good to lie. You could at least pick some points from my posts about that poor town. Only foodstuffs were cheap back then. I lived at sabo-oke, not far from general post office, only a taxi would take me to the campus.

Btw, you attended a stubborn school though, Government Day @ Sabo-Line was worse grin

grin cheesy I know you don't lie sir, that's why I am following you daddy

My parents used to live at Balogun Fulani before I was born , they live very very close to Saboline junction cheesy it's such a small world. They live at Adewole estate now.

Ilorin used to be very peaceful until it became radicalized which encouraged this encroachment by bandits.

I still miss ilorin and ibadan so much but am so scared of going back there because of the bad roads and kidnappings going on along the road.

Everyday I pray for peace to return to Nigeria and for insecurity to end in this country.

I am one of those that cannot thrive or live where there is no peace even if it is in a face me , I face you apartment, I must do all I can to maintain peace there

Real small world, darling. I remember the ecwa church down that junction as you descend the slope by the right, after crossing the rail lines. The ipata market where I used to buy white beans is nearby. Good old days wink. That means you'd know sons and lovers bookshop as well, going towards taiwo, after the total station. The baba that owned it was my friend, very nice a man. Hope hes still alive. I think he's from your side.

I was really small then. My parents know the book shop and the owner very well. I left ilorin some years back when I was just seventeen. My mom called to inform me of his death last two months or so.

See what fulanis have reduced a yorubaland to, milking our people here and there?Gov Lawal wanted to change the narrative back then by installing an Oba in Ilorin but they charmed him to death. One side of his face suddenly turned green.

Ilorin people are among the poorest people on earth. I remember the bęskę onigun merin in those days when schooling in Ilorin. That's what they'd put inside their black soup as meat. I also remember monsara(monsa)
Are you really sure of what became of Muhammed Lawal before he died? I'm only aware that he installed a Yoruba oba in Ilorin and he lost his second term elections because of that!

Awwwww! May his soul rest in peace,He was a successful bookseller. He had houses everywhere, including his state. If he just died, then he should be close to 100yrs.I left kwara in yr 2000 after I graduated, but later came back for my nysc call up letter

He intended to, but saraki's dad stopped him. It was same saraki who sponsored his election in kwara. It became a power tussle btw both of them and he took ill
