Because coups destabilise regions and we are a part of these regions. If they (ECOWAS and the AU) had used more brute force maybe we wouldn't have had most of these stupid coups.

5 West African countries already under military regime. This one made it almost 6. US is watching closely and I think they will intervene and kick someone out before that country falls, because if the country falls, it could destabilize an entire continent. That person they will kick out is powerless, he's unpopular in the country and very dependent on the votes of people who have another agenda to overrun the country.

I hope USA can see this? Our government has the capacity to act positively to overcome threats but have chosen to turn a blind eye to the real emergency in Nigeria. The only time they decided to deploy a jet in search the kidnapped students in Niger state that jet crashed and with it government rested and even celebrated the crash. But here they are sending three jets, three to save a democracy that means nothing to Nigerians.

Nigeria is not showing strong leadership hence all this rag tag so called soldiers look at how sloppy those one's in Benin look, can just go to the television station and announce a coup, if we have strong leadership you give them 24hrs to vacate or they will be pushed out by force.

Nothing special about military rule, all the West African countries under military rule have not made any significant progress just hype especially that one in Burkina Faso, just a bunch of potential sit tight leaders.

That one in Guinea is now saying he is contesting the upcoming election after promising not to contest and disqualifying all his opponents, so he basically lied and doing the exact same thing he overthrown President Alpha Conde for.
