Former presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Publisher, Dele Momodu, says a last-minute disruption to his planned road trip to Cotonou may have saved him from being caught in the failed coup attempt in Benin Republic.

Explaining that he was originally scheduled to be inside Benin Republic at the exact period the coup scare was unfolding.

He said the unexpected setback that stopped his 5 a.m. departure “was what saved us.”

Momodu narrated that the entire episode felt unreal, noting that he had already mapped out a familiar travel route.

I think you might be the headless mob here
Guinea is under military rule and it borders Mali with access to the ocean. Guinea Bisau that just came under military rule also has ocean access.

So how does it make sense for those countries to attempt coup in a country that borders Nigeria and is close to Ghana just because of access to the ocean.

Besides, it's really dumb to think that soldiers will plan coup on their govt just to appease some poor foreign countries. That's the dumbest thing I ever heard
