BREAKING: Shock As Nigerian Soldiers Escorting Brigade Commander In Yola Shoot Dead Seven Protesting Women, Others Injured

In a chilling incident in Adamawa State, at least seven women have been shot dead by soldiers escorting the Brigade Commander, Amechi Agwu, of the 23 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Yola.

This was after the troops reportedly opened fire on the group of protesters in Lamurde, SaharaReporters has learnt.

The tragic incident occurred Monday afternoon, at Rigange junction, deepening tensions already inflamed by a violent assault earlier in the day by suspected Chobo-speaking militia, who had launched coordinated attacks on multiple communities in Lamurde Local Government Area.

A respected community leader, struggling to hold back tears, told SaharaReporters that 12 women were shot, with seven dying instantly.

Five others are battling for their lives at Numan General Hospital,” he said, his voice breaking as he recounted the chaos that followed the shooting.

According to multiple local sources, the women had gathered to protest what they described as the unforgivably late arrival of security forces, who, they said, only reached the affected villages hours after the attackers had finished their rampage and retreated unchallenged.

The women were angry, frustrated, and tired of burying their own,” another source said. “They were demanding answers. Instead, what they got were bullets.”

SaharaReporters reached out to the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, Lt. Col. Apollonia Anele, for comments on the incident.

However, calls to her mobile line were not answered, and a text message sent to him seeking clarification on the shooting had also not received a response at the time of publishing this report.

Efforts to obtain the Army’s official position on the allegations remain ongoing, but as of press time, no reaction had been provided.

The Nigerian Army had not issued an official statement on the incident as of the time of filing this report.

I don't know but if these soldiers thought they were disguising under this their masquerade - type clothes.( Forgive me, I don't know the name)
RIP to the departed, condolences to their family.

I think the North needs a departure from radical islam and embrace progressive world order. The future of the North is still fraught with insecurities in the foreseeable future because of the teeming illiterates they always produce. The North would implode someday.

God will bless the man that said that the MILITARY has been infiltrated by JIHADISTs and islamists.

When people with Guts confront these repackaged Terrorists in Uniform. Their paid to be senseless lackeys like

Ijele and co will say it's IPOB-ESN that did it.
SW propaganda machinery will say it's IPOB-ESN

And their Nairaland crew will be instructed to broadcast it , even when it's unconfirmed news

In the name of the LORD ALMIGHTY. All people underming efforts at protecting the land from sahelian invaders will be consumed by the same people they align with.

BIAFRA is the only way to exit this systematic bloodshed and movement. As regards those that are using Nnamdi Kanu to please the North. You are irrelevant before them, because as they march on your region and you remind them of what you did in support of them.

THEIR DAGGERS WILL STILL NOT LEAVE YOUR THROATs. angry

As far as you are in Nigeria or your family members are in Nigeria keep h@t£ aside and be mindful of the things you support.

They started sh©©ting protesters in SE. Some northerners and most yorobahs were cheering the military and buhari government that sent them. Now "shoot on sight" during protest has become a norm in Nigeria.

The people that were shouting "k!LL dem all, target practice" never knew a day will come when they too and their mothers will be targeted just because of mere protest.
What a world.

Odiegwu!

Mine,mine, mine!

Not again!

This is high handedness from the military.

It's disheartening that we can respond to a coup in Benin Republic with alacrity and might but tarry until the damage is satisfactorily completed by the marauders before the same troops arrive to save their own people.

Another wasteful board of enquiry will be set up that will lead nowhere as usual.

How long does it take to fish out who gave the order in the Kebbi girls abduction?

General T.Y Danjuma has said it all, I have nothing to add

Re: Soldiers Escorting Brigade Commander In Yola Shoot Dead 7 Protesting Women… by chiagozien(m):
Baboons and monkeys in the Zo0 gave Nigeria soldiers right to kill protesters when Yorubas and Hausafulanis supported killing of protesters in East just because they are Igbo.

Then shiite killing happened

EndSARS lekki killing.

I remember I stated here that they are setting a bad precedent.

They were mocking us shouting, kill them all,use them as target practices, more bullets in your guns, etc

Now Igbos have stopped anything protest because of that, those that rejoiced over killing of innocent protesters are now the ones trying to protest, and when they do soldiers will do what they taught them to be doing in south East.

Remember this was reason behind sit At home,to avoid terrorist in uniform killing more people for protesting.

Re: Soldiers Escorting Brigade Commander In Yola Shoot Dead 7 Protesting Women… by Dogalmighty17:
Today has ended. No report of Nigerian army invading any terrorist camp anywhere. But they see protesting women and open fire?

An army full of excuses. After all the drama they claimed they were doing in the North East, terrorists sneaked behind them and infiltrated the middle belt. Is that a competent organisation?

An army full of dumb officers incapable of adjusting to situations. How many times have they been ambushed? One will think by now no army unit or convoy will be moving without having a drone above it to give a forward look at the situation in front. If that was available, they would have seen long before that the route they were following was blocked by protesters and then they'd take an alternate route.

But not these guys. Only on civilians can they show muscle. The other day the Nigerian army was in a fight with market women in Osun state. That's an army that cannot justify the billions of dollars expended on then against the war on terror. And they wander why the locals provide Intel to bandits against them.

Because most Yoruba and Hausafulanis hailed and cheered them when they were killing protesters in East.

Now it has become normal thing in your Nigeria to kill protesters.

This is the reason why i don’t give 2 Fs about the military. Especially those that are being man handled by terrorists.

When i read the news about an ambush on the army, i just shrug and move on with my life.

Same with the Nigerian police

Tomorrow, someone will say Nigerians don't like cooperating with the Military or Police.

How can citizens love or respect or even work with people they have grown to fear and hate?!!

How can a nation actually fight crime and terrorism when those who should secure the nation are no different from terrorists...!
