This is unacceptable and they must be held accountable right from the brigade commander downwards

This is What NIGERIANS have been Saying - that Some Overzealous Nigerians- Do Claim- To Be Above The Law, Both in the Police and SECURITY Apparatus - as they Will Be Carrying out Illegal Orders.
Federal Government and the ARMY 🪖 Commander Should De- Robed ALL THOSE SOLDIERS, INCLUDING THE BRIGADE COMMANDER - IMMEDIATELY,
AND Court marshalled them!
Can you See,When We Say- thy are Arrogant and Called the People ' Bloody Civilians '

I don't know but if these soldiers thought they were disguising under this their masquerade - type clothes.( Forgive me, I don't know the name)
RIP to the departed, condolences to their family.

I think the North needs a departure from radical islam and embrace progressive world order. The future of the North is still fraught with insecurities in the foreseeable future because of the teeming illiterates they always produce. The North would implode someday.
How does Islam comes in, in this episode? Did you read the article at all or you just wants to be islamaphobic.

Many cheered yerima, including the illiterate media, not knowing they were cheering their own deaths.

The military have no more rights than an ordinary civilian in most instances because they are not law enforcement.

But sentiments made us hail military brutality and illegality simply because we don't like the victim.

Now you're the one on the receiving end.

Evil is evil no matter who's suffering it.

And some people wish us to return to Military regime, if they can do these under a democracy government imagine what they can do under a military government?

It is really true Nigerians don't like themselves they wish themselves evil, if not that the devil want to punish Nigerians what can make people want to return to the brutality under military regime?

I really don't know the specifics of this story so I am hesitant to judge on this but my comment is based on my own experience at Lafia/Larmude.

First off, based on the reports, the incident did not happen in Yola, Lafia/Larmude is perhaps an hour away from the capital - Yola.

Two Lafia/Larmude has a reputation for being a volatile town and in many occasion have been reported to attack security operatives, block the federal roads that crosses thru the town (which incidentally is the only road that leads to the far North east) once that road is blocked, nobody can proceed into or outside the North east.

I have been stuck in Larmude for about 7 hours while travelling due to a similar situation, local boys attacked a Police (or civil defense, can't remember which now) vehicle and the security operatives shot to repel and killed one of them and hell was let loose. the roads were blocked and by evening the indigenes started attacking travellers stuck on the road side.

I was personally attacked by two boys but I fought them back, clung to my bag and screamed for help. At some points all the travellers were told to huddle together in one area to defend ourselves against the thugs who were all locals.

Luckily for us, the military was actually stationed not too far away and when they saw the situation was getting out of hand - it was night and vehicles were piled up for kilometres and the boys were not letting off and worse, they were robbing passengers, the soldiers decided to swoop in, firing gunshots directly at those boys.

The situation never got to mainstream media but I am sure a lot of people might have been killed that day because I remember clearly that the soldiers were shooting directly at them.

Anyway, that's my experience with that town and I can't say much about this particular incidence but Larmude definitely has a bad rep when it comes to violence (note that the story mentioned chobo speaking militia, this is one of the tribes around that area, they are almost perpetually involved in communal crisis from what I heard ) and I can sort of guess why security operatives might have acted overboard

Re: Soldiers Escorting Brigade Commander In Yola Shoot Dead 7 Protesting Women… by themanderon: 11:24pm On Dec 08, 2025
Very painful. You are protesting the killing of your people and those that were meant to protect you turned their guns on you. That's double tragedy which has unfortunately become a way of life for most Nigerians.
Yet some people want patriotism from citizens the government is gleefully killing. It's ok.

According to multiple local sources, the women had gathered to protest what they described as the unforgivably late arrival of security forces, who, they said, only reached the affected villages hours after the attackers had finished their rampage and retreated unchallenged.
This really sticks to me.
"The unforgivably late arrival of security forces ".
But it was easy to deploy fighter jets to Benin Republic in the twinkle of an eye.

I hope this news is not true.
This is a crime against humanity.
The women must be unarmed, so what led to the open fire on the women.
I hope they do not cover this up.
May Nigeria not happen to us.
Rest in Peace 🕯️

The Nigerian Army that kills Nigerians easily and at will, but can't kill the bandits for the past 15 years.
