Traore just implemented the death penalty for certain crimes and spying on his government is one of them. E go red for these soldiers if they're investigated and found out that they're working for France. OracleJay411:It's his duty to on protect his country from intruders. Nigerian military in were deployed to Benin, what were they looking for in Burkina Faso, a country thousands of kilometres away. It's plain to see that they were sent by the French, you are expect Ibrahim Traore to fold his arms and watch them come and covert operations from the French government? |

If this is true, a statement from Abuja is enough to send jitters to the coupists in Burkina Faso. It is like Nigeria threatening America. The country that is not more than two states in Nigeria will not dare to see the red eyes of giant of Africa. Most kids commenting here were not borne during the time of ECOMOG |

I hope it is not the Federal Republic of Nigeria they are referring to here? If it is true, Tinibu should be careful of how he listens to France and should not let France use him. We have not been able to solve our insecurity problem |

Meaning that action is beyond ECOWAS, because the confederation of Sahel states comprising of only Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso are the countries under military rule who removed themselves from ECOWAS to form a bloc. What there hell was our troops thinking by flying over there |

FreeStuffsNG:Fulls always bequeath too much importance to their existence.if Benin hold nigerians for violating their airapace, the only channel that can rememdy this is diplomatic. Nobody will go and fight a full nation becauae of 11 people, not to talk of a federation of three states. |

FreeStuffsNG:There doesn't need to be war for a nation to stop another nation from entering its airspace. That said, this is not good news. It means West Africa is divided into 2 blocs - ECOWAS (US backed) and CAS (Russia backed). CAS is looking for conflict with ECOWAS. This is similar to Europe pre WW1. |

id4sho:Tinubu doesn't need to do anything to that boy. On Facebook on Sunday Morning, I said Benin Republic is not a Sahel country and is between Nigeria and Ghana. I said Nigeria and Ghana would intervene on the Coup situation. I intentionally brought out the issue of Sahel country but kept mute on the reason . It is now very clear . Firstly, on Monday, yesterday December 8, 2025 what is our Plane doing on Burkina Faso Airspace? Again, Burkina Faso doesn't have the gut to stop Nigeria Fighter Jet from making transit over the Airspace to Ivory Coast or Ghana . Again, on Monday, December 8 what is our Plane doing around that area? In 2021 when Kidnappers were reported to have kidnapped students of an Islamic School in Niger State, an Air Force Jet took off from Abuja enroute Niger State developed fault few minutes later and crashed. Two days ago again, another plane took off to Niger State for the same mission (Security) but not from Abuja and got crashed, this time around, the Pilots survived by ejection from the plane. Niger State claimed two Air Force Jets without mission accomplished. I reserved my comments and curiosity. Psychologically, we need to know the crews onboard the Air Force Jet that was forced to land in Burkina Faso. In 2017 BUHARI sent Air Force and Soldiers to Gambia to compel the President to handover to the next President. Gambia embattled President as at that time and his Defence Chief cannot force Nigeria Jet fighter to disembark. The Minister of Defence, CDS and CAS need to find out what really happened. |

PepeXKermit:Tell them. Once a time? Japan owned China severally when it came to war. I don't think China has ever been able to invade Japan. |

Yankee101:Stupid of Nigeria to go to war over this. Diplomacy first and if this continues. Sanctions on CAS. |

Were you able to understand the part that why they could even spot them, let alone land there, was because there was an 'in flight emergency?" esnbrutality: |

But does Burkina have the hardware to protect it's airspace. Not many countries do and in Africa perhaps just a couple, if any. |

Reference:I don’t think they have but their inclination to Russia at recent times could prove otherwise, They only intercepted the flight during “in flight emergency” meaning the plane could have landed on their soil and got impounded by the military |

I Yankee101:Why do Nigerians love to make noise? U violated their airspace. U are at their mercy. U violated their airspace. And U are threatening them. Are U Nigeria govt? Some of U don't really know what is going on. Look, if care is not taken, Nigeria may get into serious trouble here. There is a power play between Russia and France in these countries. Russia has made them kick out France from these countries and I'm sure Russia hand dy for that Benin issue. On the other hand, France is using Nigeria to get info since French president and our president are paddy. I'm sure France helped Tinubu with intel about the coup that was discovered in Nigeria too. The Sahel states are fully backed by Russia now. Make Una dey pray make what happened to Ukraine no happen here where Nigeria becomes a battle ground for two super powers. This is not noise noise talk. E go blood. We already have countless problems. |

Why going to violate the Burkina Faso airspace. The mission of this crew needs to be thoroughly invested |

OracleJay411:When last did your country that is not rule by tyrants and dictator detect and track a plane that moved across its airspace. Boko Haram, ISWAP, Bandits, illegal gold miners and private choppers moves across the Nigeria airspace daily without anyone knowing. The last time an American troop came and rescued their citizen without Nigeria Air Force knowing about it. You see on this airspace issue, Burkina Faso had made a good record than us. |
