I am not sure that you comprehend the report.

The soldiers were not on combat mission and probably routine ECOWAS patrol with no previous hostile notice given by Burkina Faso because we are not at war with them. The impostor coupist is apprehensive for obvious reasons that Nigeria can dislodge him from power.

Burkina Faso will not dare face Nigeria and ECOWAS for obvious reasons. They have been at the magnanimity of ECOWAS countries on humanitarian grounds. Nigeria still bailed out Niger recently with about 400 tankers of fuel when they got stranded. Burkina Faso, Mali are impoverished and landlocked, and like Niger, still using sea ports of ECOWAS countries to recieve everything they depend on and even export.

If this report is true, I will not be surprised if our aircraft and soldiers are already home.

They don’t want the Benin experience from Nigeria and the rest of ECOWAS.

It's nice to know that ECOWAS is now taking the fight to them after Benin.
They won't dare but france is pushing your pampers president, why france no go?
Of en reach for US, russia becomes your islamic friend but when en reach burkina faso that has military ties with russia, they become your foes, islam is indeed a mental problem.

Unfortuneltly what I think or you think is irrelevant, what matter is what the military of the Confederation of Sahel States thinks or believe.

The Confederation of Sahel States has the right to seize the Nigerian military aircraft and its equipment as war booty, which means they can

use it or study its technology and attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit any intelligence or technological secrets it contains.
Stop all your despicable attempt at propaganda,it's infantile at best and only palatable to deadheads who can't tell their left from the other........Burkina Faso and those sahel rookies can't do zilch in open confrontation with Nigeria, they know this, their govts are so unstable that they look for anything just to look effective......you wouldn't want your biggest and richest neighbor to align with your conquerors, France!!

Lagos state gov alone can sponsor a coup to overthrow that Putin wanna be let alone the fg.....if they know they are serious, let them hold those men and the aircraft beyond 48 hrs.

Let them dear!!

You can only deceive gullible people here. The useless president that has not been able to dislodge bandits is the one who wants to dislodge a sitting head of state that commands an entire armed forces. Keep dreaming.

Relax.

France lobbied Nigeria to carry out similar precision strikes and avert the military rule with brute force, having been impressed by Nigeria's latest military outing in Benin to neutralize the now failed coup.

Little did amateur NAF know that BF now has modern missile air defense system given to them by Russia.

As local naive NAF were violating their airspace for reconnaissance, they received a call to make an emergency landing or risk being dismissed eternally from the sky.

They hastily landed and got detained.

Nigeria Air Force is a local champion, next time they would be blown off without warning.

Burkina faso's magnanimity should not be taken for granted.

In the military its called Aerospace control. A military unit in a plane will hover your skeis monitoring & collecting intel without your knowledge.Countries with weak defence are subject to foreign interference. That's why America has all the intel on nigeria. The fly the UAVs in & out without us knowing like they buying tomtom. Same with maritime control- submarines will be in a country's water gathering intel and extracting assets.
bros, thats exactly what i am saying, you dont need a pilot and 9 officers to monitor bukina asshol

The Friend of your enemy is never your friend.

The friend of France, Nigeria cannot be a friend of Burkina faso.

They think those Russian tech in the hands of Traore is for show, no it's for real action, thank God that man didn't shoot down our plane.

Traore just implemented the death penalty for certain crimes and spying on his government is one of them. E go red for these soldiers if they're investigated and found out that they're working for France.

It's his duty to on protect his country from intruders. Nigerian military in were deployed to Benin, what were they looking for in Burkina Faso, a country thousands of kilometres away. It's plain to see that they were sent by the French, you are expect Ibrahim Traore to fold his arms and watch them come and covert operations from the French government?
Maybe they went for kidnapping like they did in Kenya.

You badt bro...

Thanks for the translation... The statement is clear as crystal.

They have seized the plane for violating their sovereignty and they are on high alert to shoot down any plane that breaches their airspace.

I just pity any NIGERIAN pilot that wants to act like Rambo. These Sahel Nations are battle tested and their loyalty is much higher than what is obtainable here.

They have weaponry to bring down planes.

Nuff Said grin
u don't even need specialized air defence systems to shoot down a c130. It can be brought down by a Man-Portable Air Defense Systems (MANPADS) aka shoulder mounted aircraft shooter

If you read the writeup you'll see the plane suffered EMERGENCY LANDING due to issue with the plane. It was flying enroute Senegal from Ghana when this happened unfortunately.

It should be resolved.

With the above, this country is doomed. Considering that the security challenges keep waxing stronger, it means we would all be dead in less than 20yrs from now.. all of us!

There doesn't need to be war for a nation to stop another nation from entering its airspace. That said, this is not good news. It means West Africa is divided into 2 blocs - ECOWAS (US backed) and CAS (Russia backed). CAS is looking for conflict with ECOWAS. This is similar to Europe pre WW1.
Which usa is backing ecowas ? Macron backed ecowas
