A military unit in a plane will hover your skeis monitoring & collecting intel without your knowledge.Countries with weak defence are subject to foreign interference. u don't even need specialized air defence systems to shoot down a c130. It can be brought down by a Man-Portable Air Defense Systems (MANPADS) aka shoulder mounted aircraft shooter

If you read the writeup you'll see the plane suffered EMERGENCY LANDING due to issue with the plane. It was flying enroute Senegal from Ghana when this happened unfortunately.
