Let me make it clear and concise, that the coup happened an excuse isn't an excuse

Section 5 and Section 217–218 are explicit: the President cannot deploy troops outside Nigeria without National Assembly authorization, except in situations directly affecting national security within Nigeria. Even then, the law still requires prompt legislative oversight.

So the real question is this; Did the President have legal authority to deploy air assets to another sovereign country before seeking approval?
If yes, show the constitutional provision.
If no, then the National Assembly has a duty not a favor to investigate.

And about the doctrine of necessity.

That doctrine is not a magic wand to justify every executive shortcut. It was invoked in 2010 under an unprecedented constitutional vacuum. There was no vacuum here only a President in a hurry and supporters allergic to accountability.
Nobody said the President deserves impeachment; the point is that if an investigation proves a constitutional breach, then the constitutional remedy must follow.

This is Nigeria, not a monarchy.
The Constitution not emotions, not urgency, not presidential supporters is the supreme law.

..but when 200 people were killed in Benue state by terrorists the president did not say anything but kept quiet for many days until Nigerians started to complain of the president quietness over the killings in Benue state before he started to respond to the situation... and the same president cannot deploy fighter jets to the bandits and terrorists hideout in the forest or even sambisa forest where Boko Haram are... and when bandits and terrorists attack, terrorize, kidnap and kill innocent Nigerians the military men do not respond even if they call the military men for help

All the Northern countries that borders us have been taken over by miltary, it just remains Cameroun and Benin.
