Afrojuju2017:Whatever makes you sleep at night. Shebi na only North dey go farm? The largest cassava farm in West Africa is in ekiti state. You think Yoruba people buy yams, Palm oil, maize, and cassava from the North? You're a learner. The North only have comparative advantage on some certain crops that don't require heavy rain. |

Slytiger:I laugh 🤣🤣🤣, them weh contribute highest should be comfortable to stay on their own. But the reverse is the case, people that contribute nothing are the one pleading to stay on their own. We enjoy fake instead of fact. |

SonOfDSoil01:They will live in Nigeria like Lebanese Indians or Chinese and same with Yoruba in the East, PH and etc. Then true competition will start. I once read an interview where the Yoruba leader in Anambra says Yoruba population there is over 500k. If that's true the whole SE will have over a million |

L DeOTR:Oga I'm from SW which is an agrarian state. I was watching nairametrics last week and a major exporter of agricultural produce was on there and he confirmed what I suspected that the volume of agricultural produce in the North dwarfs whatever is going on anywhere else in Nigeria. We dey do ok in the south west but it's not even close, I was involved in a $14m investment drive to develop a corn starch/ cassava production facility in Oyo State so I understand the volume of production but even at that we don't put out anywhere near as much. My own family own over 5000 hectares of land leased to farmers over, 1000 acres is used for palm oil and cocoa farming. And the insecurity has made things worse, we will match I suspect in the future as there is a new appetite by young entrepreneurs to go into farming. |

adicius:How many students do private universities have. There are only about 10 private universities which are viable in Nigeria the rest are a joke no worth the paper the certificate is printed on. |

Afrojuju2017:Cocoa and Cashew nuts are still at the top of agricultural exports in Nigeria. What are you saying? In case you don't know, I'm from the North Central and most of the touted agricultural produce from the North are coming there. The only comparative advantage the core north has in agriculture is tomato, onion and beans cultivation. |

Afrojuju2017:If you check nairametrics, you'd know our top agricultural exports are not the kind of stuffs coming from the arid north. |

DeOTR:You are speaking to the value of those exports not the volume. The value itself is a function of relatively high costs over recent years. |
