According to him, the assailants pursued the convoy, opened fire, and eventually dispossessed his orderly of his rifle and uniforms after shooting him. Former Governor of Anambra State and immediate past Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, has narrated how gunmen ambushed his convoy, killing a woman and injuring his police orderly. Speaking at his country home in Alor, Idemili South Local Government Area, on Friday, when Peter Obi, former presidential candidate of the Labour Party paid him a visit, Ngige said the incident occurred around Umuoji when his aides, returning from errands, were attacked by armed men dressed in police and military uniforms. According to him, the assailants pursued the convoy, opened fire, and eventually dispossessed his orderly of his rifle and uniforms after shooting him. The senator dismissed rumours of his death, assuring the public that he was safe. “As you can see, I’m alive; I’m not dead, so there should be no panic,” he said. Ngige added that the attackers accused the policemen in his convoy of “serving a zoo government,” a remark he found troubling and indicative of a possible attempt to seize arms or impersonate security personnel. The former minister said he had briefed Governor Chukwuma Soludo, who assured him that the perpetrators would be tracked and brought to justice to prevent further threats to public safety. He noted that it remained unclear whether the convoy was specifically targeted, explaining that his pilot driver of more than two decades was widely known, making the vehicles easily recognisable. He also suggested the attackers may have been targeting any convoy accompanied by police escorts. Reflecting on broader security concerns in the region, Ngige reiterated his position that the case of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu requires a political solution, particularly in light of reported concerns about Kanu’s health. The attack drew strong condemnation from former Labour Party presidential candidate while commiserating with him and his family. Obi described the incident as shocking and deeply painful, especially the killing of a woman at the scene. He urged security agencies to intensify coordinated efforts as the festive season approaches, stressing that Nigerians deserve the freedom to live and travel in peace. Obi thanked God for Ngige’s safety and extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the slain woman, calling on authorities to ensure justice and prevent similar tragedies.... They are politicians sponsored criminals, even governor of Imo State said it. When They tagged Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and ipob as terrorists group, there was no killing in East except those known to have been committed by z00 police and soldiers. To justify their terrorist tag, they sanctioned false flag operations, just like operation python dance, this only to justify their terrorist tag on unarmed IPOB. When their agent of provocateur kills and claims responsibility, IPOB will deny responsibility, yet z00 government and it media keeps saying IPOB and ESN. Never did they mention names of their sponsored agents that claimed responsibility while pretending to be fighting for Biafra and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Yes I mean Simon ekpa and his gentle yahoo APC zoo government. I challenge you to show me where zo0 government and Media mentioned Simon ekpa and his Autopilot criminals in any of the killing they committed in south East. |

There is a trend here and folks need to be careful.. Whenever we see a rise in tension in the South East over the Biafra agitation, stuff like this starts to happen and we conveniently. blame IPOB/ESN. Most times, it is very convenient to blame what the government calls "separatists" as the ones inflicting all the terror in the east. But with folks like Asari Dokuboh and Co, openly boasting about the number of their "kills" in the SE as if he went on a hunting expedition while working with government security forces over there, maybe we have to tarry a bit before reaching conclusions.. Remember Akunyilis husband? IPOB was surreptitiously blamed. But uptill today, no one has been brought to book for that. IPOB has consistently rejected their involvement in this gruesome killings. It is my belief that investigations into related acts of violence in the east need to be made more encompassing. There is a good chance that it might not be those "fighting for Biafra" that are doing all these wayward killings. Those against Biafra might be the ones too. Both akunyili and Ngige do not have a dog in the game.. Some people might be muddling the waters as they are busy exterminating powerful igbo figures in order to make sure that the "terrorist" tag agaibst IPOB/Igbos sticks.. Infact, reports from Anambra over the last few months suggest an increase in the activities of kidnappers and assassins dressed in police and military uniforms. So your research. Maybe it is about time these two organisations speak up and calm frayed nerves... |

Tell one killing that IPOB and ESN has owned up to. Or is that that IPOB and ESN don't ever kill anyone? 🤔 owobokiri: |

owobokiri:Had wanted to like this comment, and just add that there’s a noticeable step-up in senseless mass murders in the south-east in recent days….particularly Anambra and Imo! And the reasons are not far-fetched: The evil and murderous deep-state actors, who think nothing of wasting innocent Igbo blood just to prove a ‘point’, need to show to the visiting US fact-finding officials that the insecurity in Nigeria isn’t defined mainly or solely by islamic terrorists targeting Christians! They want to show that Christians (in this instance, southern Christians) are equally targeting Christians, and they’ve chosen to use the head of Ndigbo to ‘prove’ that point to the Americans, since to them Igbo lives are ‘expendable’! Notice how they made sure a church and priest in Anambra were targeted and a fatality recorded!? The other day, i saw that Igbo hater Onanuga tell Charles Aniagolu on AriseTV that ‘IPOB are equally murdering in the south-east’, as a ‘justification’ for the Tinubu gov’ts stand on the matter! When Mr Aniagolu interjected and said there’ve been reports of infiltrators into the region carrying out attacks, Onanugu then referred to the unfounded, daft and unfortunate statement of their boy Soludo that ‘99% of attacks in the south-east are carried out by Igbo on themselves’! That idiotic assertion of Soludo can NEVER hold up to scrutiny! He was just pandering to the sentiments of his hegemonic masters in Abuja, who in turn paid back the favour by looking the other way as he corrupted the gubernatorial election process in his state!….Quid-pro-quo if you like! |

oalandAgents2:Why would you own up to something you did not do? Have you got any evidence that IPOB killed anyone? |
