Malami Can't Explain The Whereabouts Of $1.48bn by okrote4real(op): 7:07am On Dec 11, 2025
The EFCC is asking Malami to explain the whereabouts of US $322.5 million of Abacha loots recovered from Switzerland between 2017 and 2018.

Additionally, the EFCC is also asking him to explain the whereabouts of approximately US $321 million recovered from the Island of Jersey in the UK in 2020.

Meanwhile, in some recent statements, the probe under EFCC refers to around US $346.2 million in loot from Switzerland whose whereabouts are under scrutiny.

Furthermore, a separate public claim (by EFCC before Malami’s contesting of it) pointed to US $490 million as the volume of recovered funds that need accounting. So, all together, he's being grilled about $1.48 billion (approximately). More crucially, the EFCC said that there are 46 bank accounts allegedly linked to Abubakar Malami under investigation.

Meanwhile, keep in mind that today, former Minister of Aviation Stella was arraigned by the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation before the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja on charges related to an alleged N2.5 billion fraud.

This humongous amount of money was purportedly fraudulently obtained from the Ministry of Aviation through Broad Waters Resource Nigeria Ltd and Global Offshore Marine Ltd under false pretenses that the money was for technical supervision, security integration, and logistics support services.

She was arraigned alongside Gloria Odita, with whom she is also standing trial in a separate N5 billion money laundering case before another court.

Good evening, please!

We cannot shift the blame from Buhari and rightly so, but you see this Malaimi, the guy was just like a demon during that regime.
Malaimi's name was always mentioned in areas that involve corruption and support for bandits. When he wanted to contest for governor of his state, many of us were happy that he would finally resign, but as soon as Buhari gave the directive that anyone who wants to contest should first resign, he, as well as people like Ngige chickened out and refused to resign, preferring instead to continue as a minister.

He was the one who single-handedly removed the former EFCC chairman, even though that one was also trying. Maybe Magu was beginning to suspect him, because the manner with which he was removed was suspicious. He also went and brought Maina back and reinstated the fugitive into civil service.
Buhari's major sin was trusting him too much and not knowing that he should be sacked. This guy was the worst of the worse.

Buhari was a pious terror enabler. He tacitly supported terror acts and openly sympathised with terrorists . Have you forgotten that Boko haram made him their chief negotiator ?
Have you forgotten how he disarmed you and then armed his Fulani nation with AK-47?

Have you forgotten " Why ARE YOUR PEOPLE KELLING MY PEOPLE". he yelled at lam adesiina

Indeed. I believe Buhari was a patriotic and well-meaning leader during his first stint in power as a Military head of State.

As a much older and democratically elected President, from 2015 onwards, he was ideologically jaded and compromised.

This made him easy picking for the many self-serving extremists in his cabinet and cabal who convinced him that empowering "victimised and marginalized" Fulanis should be the legacy trust of the Buhari Presidency.

Sadly, Buhari cannot be anything more than a highly revilled leader today because your conclusion is correct. The damage he did to Nigeria was, without comparison, the worst.

From making Nigeria far more insecure than it has ever been to being financially despondent, like a can of tinned food attractive on the outside yet actually empty inside, Buhari and his Fulani cabal left our nation in the same situation as a defenceless baby, in a forest full of wild animals, with no mother or father to care for it.

Precisely. Obi is a particularly repellent, cowardly and completely unprincipled individual willing to do anything to gain power.

Otherwise, what manner of madness would make him believe fraternising with Malami can have any electorally positive benefit to him?

Same Malami that was an unapologetic Fulani supremacists who did his best, as AGF, to frustrate the security effort of the South (via trying to frustrate formation of Amotekun and blocking Akeredolu's demand of registering of Fulani pastoralist in the SW etal) so that Fulani murderous impunity can be the status quo of Nigeria.

That is who Obi chose to go and worship shamelessly. PBAT is rightly focused on the economic recovery of Nigeria and therefore does not want to distract focus away from that with needless prosecution battles against offenders in the Buhari government, literally in the thousands, to the detriment of important considering like reigning in inflation etal.

Nonetheless, I would love it if Malami is jailed for life and made an example of. A vile individual who saw the death of Southerners at the hands of his murderous Fulanis "brothers" as expedient when the sanctity of every Nigerian life should have been sacrosanct to him as our AGF and number one law enforcer.

Some of us cannot forget even though the unprincipled and odious Obi pretends to. If the future is to be better then terrible and extreme monsters must be punished to discourage others.

Malami, the number one antagonist of Amotekun.

As fate will have it, Amotekun has come to stay today while malami is cooling his heels in EFCC detention.

I’m not defending the late former President Buhari, but regardless of whatever damage his administration caused, it still cannot, under any circumstances, match the catastrophe Tinubu has plunged this country into. They are worlds apart. The two are not comparable.

Remember what I tell you people. Just hope and pray that TINUBU coordinates Oduduwa Republic for you after his tenure.

You will cry senselessly soonest.

In China, Malami and his Co-conspirators would have been hanged by now..

In North Korea, he will be shot by firing squad along with his family members..

In these countries you pay a very high price for corruption, you pay with the your blood and the blood of your family.

That way others learn and think twice before looting..

But in Nigeria, you part with little of the bribe you embezzled to EFCC, bribe the Judge, 'faint' in courts once or twice and then you are left alone to go enjoy your loot..

Can Wike take his sons to a state-sponsored trip to a conference abroad, if he were Chinese? Can he try that?

Let's stop Jamboree, we are not interested in fighting corruption..
