If you look at the map of the world and plot a straight line between Nigeria and Portugal, you will find out that the city Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso where the aircraft landed is quite far from that line. So, this statement will be hard to believe that the aircraft was on the way to Portugal |

Bokoharam killings with its affiliate jihadists terrorists kidnappings across Nigeria is making Nigeria look weak. Looking weak will destroy a nation, posturing is important, if people see you as strong, they will respect you, but if they see you as weak, they poke your eyes, which will force you to react, which will end up in a war, looking weak and avoiding to dish out cold hard justice to terrorists will destroy Nigeria. It's a pity how clueless politicians and evil profiteers from blood of Nigerians are succeeding in destroying this country, yet the military is not using the strong heavy hand on the sponsors of these jihadists terrorists whose cells have spread across Nigeria, yet the low minded governors are still singing on your mandate, instead of arming their hunters and vigilantes with automatic weapons to flush out these Sahel terrorists from the forests, killing, raping and kidnapping innocent Nigerians. |

MarkNsukkaBread:And you think what you're practicing here in Nigeria is Democracy? Where you leave quelling internal insecurity for an external one... Sometimes, you guys should use your Brains to think. Everything isn't about Loyalty to tribe, Religion or Political Party. Tinubu's miscalculations could drag our already stretched Armed forces into a regional war. |

sweerychick:It is the other way round. These AES countries have started what they can't finish. The civilian Aviation authorities in Burkina Faso are embarrassed by the action of the military junta because it was same civil aviation authorities that granted the NAF C-130 clearance to land after the crew declared an emergency and requested for clearance to enter Burkina Faso's airspace and land in that remote airstreep The military junta being the rogue elements they then seized upon the situation to literally kidnap the crew and seize the aircraft. If they don't come to their senses, then sense will be drilled on them. The trio of these rogue junta in Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso are facing near collapse with jihadist elements holding large sway of their country with total economic collapse . This action is no different than what bandits will do. |

If Burkina Faso releases either that plane or its passengers, I will be mad pissed. The plane should be seized permanently and the passengers jailed for a while. A country being tele-guided by France to destabilize other African countries thinking it deserves approbation deserves all insults they receive in the process. |

Kalashnikov49:Even Niger has the guts to be a part of a group that siezed Nigerian aircraft, I hope the northerners are seeing this with thier blind support for Niger. Tinubu needs to show power by putting those terrorists sympathizers in their place. |
