The 4 cylinder GDi engines from 2011 to 2015 were very problematic due to build quality. 2016 upwards got a bit better but anything GDi if you can avoid it, better for you

Pick Honda CR-V which is top in it's class.

Tucson should be option B

Santa Fe is bigger, comes in 3.3L V6 WITH THIRD ROW options not good on gas compared to the first two.

Ford edge isn't bad but needs more attention and the internal water pump is a nightmare

NOT THE EDGE. CRV all rounder, Tucson more stuff, Santa Fe more room but worse on gas.

Do not get cheap parts for the Honda suspension and you'll be fine on your road. Get any car checked by a mechanic BEFORE you buy it.

I made sure to buy only Honda specific Power steering fluid and not the generic Holts ATF for the power pump and also Honda specific coolant

Good Day everyone.
Thank you all for your contributions.

Please, as a first time car buyer.,

On a budget of 8m naira, is it possible to a good foreign used Toyota Camry or Hyundai car or Honda from 2010 model up? 🙏

I would really appreciate ur contributions or suggestions.
8m is very small for Camry from 2007 tokunbo.

But you should be able to do Hyundai Elantra or accent 2010 for that or Honda civic, city, jazz or fit.

But use jiji site to check prices

Hello everyone.

What's your opinion on a 2015 Hyundai Sonata car for a first time buyer? I drive a Toyota corolla regularly but not sure about buying one. I love the design of the 2015 Hyundai sonata.
Is it reliable? Fuel efficient?
I have seen prices between 15m and 17m for Toks from Car dealers.

And also hope been a lady doesn't decide the kind of car brand I can get? Because I always hear people say ladies find some brands difficult to use.

Please I need suggestions

2011 sonata to 2015 had a severe manufacturers defect which caused catastrophic failure.

I have always advised people to avoid anything Kia and Hyundai from 2011 to 2021 especially their 4 cylinder and GDI tech engines. If nah V6 go right ahead but 2.0T or 2.4L NA avoid those vehicles if you can.

Not a very reliable powertrain as Mr Nurey as initially stated, I’ll advise you to stick with the Toyota, or probably with that budget getting the 2016 Camry if it’s appealing to you

Is there any Nissan Altima model that is good or are all of them bad?
Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by Carcourt: 5:39pm On Jun 16
Good evening car people! I’m stuck between deciding between these two sedan cars. The 2005 Lexus es 330 3.3V6 vs the Mercedes Benz C230 2.5V6 last batch. I have driven the Lexus well and I know it’s quiet, very reliable and luxurious in its own way but I have never driven this c230 last batch before. The Benz is popular in the north and they swear by it. How rugged is it compared to the Lexus?
Can it handle a bit of commercial transportation services like the Lexus? What about reliability while driving long distances? I just want opinions from people who have experienced both.

Thank you…👏
