What is the essence of defending a law with your life,sir?An old man like you should be wise enough to know the best option is never to go dying over something or killing oneself.Having two constitutions in a country is not helpful nor viable.It has been too much bloodshed already in the land.Putting an end to the practice of Sharia might curtail the senseless killings and save lives.

Nigeria has always had sharia law in the North. It existed under colonial rule and it has existed since independence. Nigeria is a federation. That means each federating unit is free to make its own laws. Just like in America which is also a federation, there are different laws in different states. For instance in some states you must have ID to vote, it some it is not required. Yet they are all voting in the same election.

The sharia court of appeal is actually enshrined in the constitution and has been enshrined in every constitution before and since independence.

We’ve had Shari from day 1, it doesn’t apply to Christians, it was never an issue, why suddenly is it an issue? Whatever problems we have today have nothing to do with sharia law.
