Or quite simply he didn't eat healthy, exercise and take his prescription medication. And go for the annual health check too

Insinuating that he died because he doesn't rest from work as a deputy Governor is very uncharitable. What is it that is stressing a deputy Governor who's job is more or less that of a spare tyre. That means the governor would have died long ago.
My Lord, someone educate this man...

Even tinubu dey find work for shettima to do well well.

60. He looked a healthy weight. Well, he expired. We all will one day. Too bad that emergency services are non-existent in this country. He will never try it again.

APOPTOSIS:
What equipments do they have in the FMC for emergency resuscitation?
What's the acuity level of the emergency staff in terms of emergency preparedness to interpret results?

Can they comfortably do a continuous EKG on acute cardiovascular cases and interpret results as they trickle in? They would rather write an official consult to another consultant in UPTH to come over and review ordinary EKG results.😭😭. These are same EKGs nurses interpret abroad.

when we tell them to equip these proxy hospitals, train & pay people well, they renege and laugh at us.

RIP to him
But when government equips these government hospitals, doctors employed set up private clinics, at times one bed or two room private clinics in town; patients who came to the government hospital are diverted by the doctors to their private clinics in town, use the hospital equipment for diagnosis of health issues of patients in the doctor's private clinic, patient pays treatment charges to the doctors. Before long, the equipment and other infrastructures in the government hospital become craps.

In foreign countries especially in Europe, any doctor who indulges in the illicit practice described above risks years of years of improvement.

What?

I'm dumbstruck!

This death is suspicious, if you ask me.

Could it be associated with his blunt refusal to jump ship with Governor Douye Diri?

God knows best!

Adieu, Mr Deputy Governor, The Law, Lawrence Ehwrudjakpor!

Make no mistake dude, there is an appointed time for everyone's death. However, you can by your own hands cut short your time. I strongly believe that today isn't his appointed time.

When you tell these politicians to get our hospitals functional they'll not listen! They forget that sickness and death can happen to anybody.

Go to all these public hospitals in Nigeria, they're nothing to write home about! Poorly staffed, poorly equipped and a workforce that is frustrated due to poor pay and poor working environment. Many of these hospitals have not employed new hands for many years now, so they're just there like slaughter houses. How can they resuscitate someone in those kinds of facilities? Nigerians are not just serious mehn

So many cases of people slumping and dying nowadays. These are pointers to how bad things have degenerated in our healthcare system!

RIP to the dead

These guys are rich enough to go for comprehensive check ups at least twice a year, what could be the reason for the sudden death? Was there an underlying condition that was not properly managed or has he not been going for check ups as is required for a man of his age and caliber?
Re: Bayelsa Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo Dies by Eriokanmi: 7:24pm On Dec 11, 2025
I learnt he was rushed to an ICU after he collapsed. Is there any functional ICU in Bayelsa? Even the FMC there doesn't have a single functional ventilator. Its appalling the way these people chase money upandan amd neglect the sector that can keep them alive when sick or in an emergency situation. So sad.

Nigeria politics. I think in recent times he has been having issues with his boss. The state house of assembly almost impeached him for not defecting to the APC. He sued them to court and the court halted the process. If not he would have been impeached. It’s well.
Now that he's dead they should carry the office na.
Anywhere APC enters peace disappears. This devilish coven is now going to bring division and hate between brothers in this monolithic state and destroy it if care is not taken.

To solve such problems as mentioned in your post, government need to change the leadership of our public hospitals! They need to take the leadership of hospitals away from medical doctors. Qualified hospital administrators should be appointed to lead these hospitals and ensure proper checks. Doctors have proven over the years to be poor managers of our public hospitals!
Re: Bayelsa Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo Dies by Belleful: 7:47pm On Dec 11, 2025
Hmmmm, after refusing to go to APC with d governor, and fighting the house of assembly not to impeached him. They just end it up.
