A man has raised an alarm after a group of Hausa boys allegedly blocked the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, stopping all movement on both the Ibadan-bound and Lagos-bound lanes.

Crowds of people and drivers could be seen stranded on the road, standing helplessly as the Hausa truck drivers blocked both sides of the expressway with their trucks.

According to him, the boys insisted that no vehicle would be allowed to pass, claiming that someone had stolen the battery from their truck. Even when police officers arrived and attempted to plead with them, they reportedly refused to open the road or let anyone through.

No one nor tribe is above the law... these barbaric acts of obstructing traffic should stop...

Few days ago Fulani men blocked a major section of Benin by-pass... Although they were offended by the local task force who shot at the tyres of a trailer conveying cattles... but their audacity and attitude to assume that no one can confront them while they blocked the road should not continue...

Security agents should in cases like these wisely manage such crises...
