This case doesn't affect Danjuma's people. The victims are Tivs. There are lots of Tiv communities in Taraba between the borders of Benue and Taraba states. This had led to many border clashes for decades as far back as 1980s. So, Jukuns today don't care what happen to Tiv communities in Taraba.
Fulanis have taken this opportunity to mark Tivs for extermination. The Tivs still don't understand what they're facing in Nigeria. They're the largest ethnic group in the middlebelt with more than 5 million people spread across 4 states. If Fulanis will conquer the middlebelt, they must first overrun Tivs.
