I called Soyinka because he is the epitome of what you consider educated and to me he is a resounding failure. Just better than TINUBU by a miniscule of success.

Same failures different clothes. grin

HacheNoire:
You have a right to make yourself happy!

Now you have moved to Soyinka? Are you sure you not a graduate of those quack universities in the US? Were you pulling all this strings from?

All because you want to defend a US that’s in same league in Nigeria? The only edge they have ahead of us is warfare which can’t be counted as a plus!

African solidarity and brotherhood...

It's only when we face challenges with the west that we remember it, pick it up, dust it and then wear it.

Other times we mostly remain divided as African.

Well, as the Arabs would say: I and my brother against our cousin. I, my brother and cousin
against the world.

Yes he's saying burgers

*By the way I think he meant burgers and moi moi. Not sure if it's the direct transcript of his speech or if it's a typo error from the op!

So it's now the 38trillion USD that is what you are hanging on?

So their debt portfolio slows down their growth trajectory?

Anyway a summarized take ...
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Top Countries by Total Government Debt (in USD)

The following countries hold the largest amounts of government debt in absolute dollar value, as of 2025 estimates:

United States: Roughly $38.3 trillion, accounting for over one-third of the global total.
China: Approximately $18.7 trillion.
Japan: Around $9.8 trillion.
United Kingdom: Approximately $4.1 trillion.
France: Approximately $3.9 trillion.
Italy: Approximately $3.5 trillion.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Top Countries by Debt-to-GDP Ratio

The debt-to-GDP ratio provides a relative measure of a country's debt burden compared to its economic output. A higher ratio can indicate a greater fiscal challenge. The countries with the highest ratios in 2025 are:

Japan: 230%
Sudan: 222%
Singapore: 176%
Venezuela: 164%
Lebanon: 164%
Greece: 147%

From the above is America there? You are not even better than Japan...but you dare not compare yourself to the Japanese economy.

Anyway, TINUBU supporters will LIE to themselves repeatedly and take it as the truth.

Enjoy your illiteracy limbo..it's your utmost right. cool
You are not brilliant!

Which university did you graduate from cos I can tell you got admission without English language test. How could you have passed comprehension!

Anyways! You can see Nigeria is not even close while your Almighty US is badly in debt! China does not even come close.

My point is that, Nigeria is still on track and has room to turn around events. Not your Almighty US that already has a debt ahead of her GDP with practically NOTHING to show for it!

China’s debt is justifiable with the tremendous pace of development in last decade. At least, you can see what they achieved with money. Now tell us what 38 trillion did 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It could even build ONE speed train line or guarantee free healthcare for Americans.

When you consider the USA taxation system, it's more like you are working for the government for free

On average of 35% tax annually
You are right.
The U.S. is not for everyone especially the lawless souls. Someone like Wike who wants 2b worshipped regularly can never survive the U.S. for just a week hence it's not for everyone.
You are watched every minute of the day.
If you are law abiding, you are welcome.

The reason you are afraid is simple...." u can't conduct yourself within the law"🤷🏾‍♂️
Nigeria is sweet to many because it's lawless.
U can peee anywhere. In fact, you can pee just beside any government house.
It's certain. Just imagine how FeLa's son slapped a police officer like hell on camera..
He should attempt such in the UK or USA.

So they the ONLY country in the quest or of what benefit has those white elephant endeavors?

Is that a justification of $38 trillion debt when same country can’t even afford free tertiary education or healthcare ?

Who is begging? Can you mention a case where Nigeria begged the US?

Hello! Nothing is free in Freetown! American grants are not free and only projects and buffers their influence internationally!

Like life won’t continue without their grants, or we weren’t thriving before the grants came!

Once again, we don’t beg! We don’t default our loan payments, and our GDP to debt ratio is minimal compared to your God.

Julius Malema is a great Africa Statesman. He likes Africa and believes so much in Nigeria and Africa brotherhood but Nigeria has internal problems.

On Sunday morning when the Coup in Benin Republic was announced I said Benin Republic is not a Sahel country and it is between Nigeria and Ghana and that Nigeria and Ghana would intervene.

Nigeria comprises of different Nations. We have Sahel Nation within Nigeria that is indirectly a member of Sahel Nations which oppose the establishment of US Military Base in Nigeria. Again, we have BIAFRA nation within Nigeria that have lost hope and are looking for Super Power to come to her rescue. They blackmailed NIGERIA to the US government and want US Military Base and US Sanctions against Nigeria. They are anti Nigeria.

We have the YORUBA nation that is suffering
from Religious and Political duplicity . The duplicity created a divided opinion and made them vulnerable to the antics of Sahel and BIAFRA Nations within Nigeria. They are confused, one of them with his elder brother from the same State (Ogun) are one Private TV Station.

While the Sahel Nation and Oduduwa Nation in Nigeria have nothing against Julius Malema and his love for Nigeria, the BIAFRA nation will hate Julius Malema and call him names and insult him. This is because anybody that likes Nigeria is their enemy and anybody that belittle US their perceived Saviour is their enemy.

Anybody coming to Nigeria must study the cultural and Political landscape very well and know where to belong.

A slum is a slum! Stop polishing slums!

Roads leads to Ajegunle and Makoko! Stop making it look like everyone is rich and stable in the US. Even half of the rich ones thrive on debt-Spend the future at present.

We not there in Nigeria but we balking! More than half of our population own what they have. They are not debtors! Carpenters and plumbers send kids to medical school without debt. They don’t initiate kids into debt just for education.
But you celebrated the student loan scheme rolled out by tinubu? 😃

I'm enjoying the banter between you and your friends seriously.

Our president goes anywhere deemed fit! The insecurity in Nigeria is constrained to only regions.

Unlike the US, 50 states has experienced mass shooting in 2025! How about kidnapping? Dont even go there!

Statistics don’t lie!

I never said we perfect, but we better with the little we have!

Healthcare don’t cost a arm and a leg! Our system supports generation wealth! Not where you have everything and own nothing even when you bought outrightly!
Health care don't cost an arm? Is there even a viable health care system here or you mean the one where your health insurance can't even cover typhoid fever?
Health care but health tourism is a way of life for Nigerians, especially those in position of authority.

The same America would deny genocide in Gaza, deny Mahmoud Abbas visa to attend UNGA, host Netanyahu, but feels there's genocide ongoing in SA and Nigeria and threatens everyone. Slow-thinking people fall for such.

I don’t know what a US visa ban really does when you wealthy.

I have really thought it deep and can’t even figure out one thing that makes a US visa impactful for a successful being.

What exactly will mandate you to want to be in the US? From healthcare, education, security, real and virtual investment, or even tourism, you have better choices outside the US.

The only reason you might BE mandated yo be in the USA is if you plan yo wage a war.
It means entire family ban... not just America but flagged across Europe.... unless he enjoys Russia then fine

Lol. Yes, a slum is a slum but your slums in Nigeria have no good roads, electricity, access to good healthcare etc.

I didn't say everyone is rich. I said they have basic amenities of life which your mega cities don't have.

What's the source of your stats that more than half of the population own what they have?

Yes, they may go into debt to get educated but what's the usefulness of education in Nigeria if the jobs meant for those courses read in school are not available? What debt is worse than having so many degrees but having to beg to eat every month? What is the unemployment rate in Nigeria for first, second and third degree holders? Why have many healthcare professionals (even hospital consultants) left Nigeria for greener pastures in the US, UK etc.?

In the US, you don't even need education to earn a decent living but in Nigeria, even PhD holders are begging to eat.
I think you missed it. Your argument is baseless
He is not saying Nigeria is better than US.
His question is why a well to do, super rich person in Africa would want to kill himself in order to be in US, when he can easily turn elsewhere to enjoy.
You started spewing rubbish. Judging from all the nonsense you're saying here, it is very glaring you're from the those people from certain part of Nigeriaa, whosuffer from inferiority complex.

You sha weak oooo...

This GDP noise made me research lightly and not deeply .

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Top Countries by GDP Per Capita (2025 Estimates)
These countries benefit from high output shared among a smaller population:

Luxembourg: Strong financial sector.

Singapore: Finance, trade, technology hub.

Ireland: Pharmaceuticals, tech, finance.

Qatar: Natural gas, oil exports, investments.

Norway: Oil and gas, strong welfare system.

Largest Economy by Total GDP
United States
: Remains the world's largest economy by total output, driven by diverse sectors like finance, tech, manufacturing, and services.

Go school...leave noise for market women.
