To me Christantus should have replaced Usman. He is built for African midfield battles and his physicality will be needed in the middle,

He can't keep the ball. He is more of a no10/striker

The two other midfielders they took that Nnadi plus Akinsamiro and if they use Onyedika, got midfield battles covered.

Onuachu is useless outside the box and extremely slow for Nigeria's style of play

He is only good when you play in the opponents box and Nigeria doesn't do that


Same issue he had at Southampton, showing good touches on the halfway line but by the time the wingers enter the box, he will still be on the halfway line

So he can't press at speed or follow his wingers into the box. Tactically it will be like another Tolu Vs DRC scenario with press failing around the striker and the team not being able to relieve pressure by playing balls into the channels for the striker to chase

I'm noticing something with Maresca. Guide the team to 2nd place around Sept-December. 1st place within touching distance, then all of a sudden bad result after bad result and we watch it all disappear till we find ourselves struggling to make top 4.

It happened last season and it's happening again this season.
What could be the problem? Inexperienced squad, no quality back up in the so called squad depth? I don't know but I desperately hope we bounce back and go on a winning run before we find ourselves fully immersed in the cold waters of top6 battle.

They're a very decent side and will make us fight for the 3 points. Thier midfield is very compact with lots of hard workers. Both of their wingers will cause problems especially their right winger Ndiaye.
