I was 8yrs old when Odi massacre happened in Odi Community uin Bayelsa State. From my community, we could hear the sounds of heavy artilleries. We were all afraid. At first who thought another civil war had broke out. Immediately, my father gathered all his male children, including me, and he took us to the Egbesu shrine where we were then fortified and prepared for the war. We waited all day to see if it would advance to our kingdom, but it didn't. It was int the following day that we learnt of the true cause of the heavy bombardments. We were shocked.
About a year plus, I was opportuned to watch the recorded video of the bombardment of the Odi community. It was at the very moment that I denounced Nigeria. Even though I was very young, my spirit within me told me that something is wrong with the country I was born into. I couldn't understand why any sane country and government will act that way in bombarding her own citizens and community, especially when old and defenceless people are indiscriminately killed and properties destroyed over a flimsy excuse battling some wayward criminals. It really didn't make any sense to me, especially having watched the level of destruction and killings of old and young defenceless people.
As an Ijaw man that I am, and have seen the level of impoverishment of my Ijaw people and the wanton killings and destruction of our land and the pillaging of our resources with reckless abandon, I can not for the life of me be patriotic to Nigeria. Since around age ten, I have detested Nigeria. And every passing day comes with more reasons why I should hate this demonic union called Nigeria the more. No sane human being will be patriotic to Nigeria.
Nigeria is not failing because it has challenges as every country does. No. There is no coincidence. Both the foundation and the building of Nigeria is demonically engineered to kill, steal, and to destroy lives and properties. No amount of blind patriotism can fix Nigeria.

Kanu is the person locked up without any communication gadgets in a solitary cell at a Sokoto correctional facility and not you,gidgiddy. Kanu is the one who knows what he is going through. Why is it a taboo for Kanu to have been a card carrying member of APGA?

Was it not your Ojukwu that formed APGA which he attempted once to run for President of Nigeria?

It doesn't change the fact that when Nnamdi Azikiwe discovered that the Presidency he held at independence was ceremonial and that all executive political power resided in the hands of the Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa, that Azikiwe began to feud with Balewa and before the January 15th 1966 coup both were at serious loggerheads and trying to remove each other from government. At this time the NCNC/NPC alliance government had practically broken down. It was at this point Nnamdi Azikiwe began to instigate Ibo military officers to prosecute a coup. Officers instigated by Azikiwe included Ojukwu,Nzeogwu,Onwuategwu,and his relative Ifeajuna. This was why the January 15th 1966 coup was so lopsided and was the reason why Azikiwe was able to hide in the Caribbean under the guise of medical check up while the coup was going on.
