He requested for the things to be bought by Adelabu and sent to him.. in the communication he even said he didn't know the cost. Except he intended to resell those items (whether he would've returned the items to Adelabu or kept them is unknown), I don't see how he would've made money for himself at this stage of their interaction although making money is the ultimate aim of course...
