I pity some people saying gibberish. Burkina Faso is just like a training ground for the Nigerian military. They have Just 18000 personel all put together compared to Nigeria military might In a matter of weeks it's over for them I think it's a set up by Nigeria to provoke them and they mustn't fall for the trap They really need to be careful here cos Nigeria helped to restore Democracy back to Benin Republic, they aren't afraid to do so in Bukina faso |

so why was FG claiming they had been released last week? and why exactly was our plane doing in that airspace if they claim they were going to Portugal? even Portugal is denying knowledge of them expecting our plane in their country last week. something is just not adding up on all these. |

It's such a palpable pain to see Nigeria, despite her goodwill and largesse to fellow African countries over the years, always being paid back with spiteful ingratitude. Africa has always been the centrepiece of our foreign policy but have nothing to show for it. Nigeria/Nigerians have often been treated with contempt, ignominy and wanton disdain by fellow Africans regrettably. Burkina Faso now has the audacity to detain not just our aircraft but eleven of its crew and personnel with impunity. Burkina Faso is definitely being instigated by some insidious and proxy enemies who which to get at Nigeria by hook or by crook. But, must Nigeria continue to lie low inspite of this deliberate provocation? Nigeria may have to use one African country, like Burkina Faso, to show a lasting example to others if all diplomatic efforts fail. Our peaceful/brotherly disposition is being mistaken for cowardice. @hotseat |

Dialogue and negotiations are the best...the only options open to Nigeria at this moment. Sabre rattling will just be counterproductive. |

I don't know why is so hard to believe our government ...First the claimed tbe general escaped only for boko haram to show us how they killed him ...Secondly they told us that the government of that country welcomed our soldiers well ...they didn't tell is that they were detained ..Trust us important but this government cannot be trusted at all . |

chiagozien:Like Sheikh Ahmad Gumi is to Boko Haram, so you are to Biafra. Anything to disintegrate Nigeria is all crave for. It's in your DNA! But, be rest assured, Nigeria is greater than any individual or ethnic nationality. Nigeria is here to stay: no matter the circumstances! I had to momentarily respond to your unpatriotic mischief and hatred for Nigeria in order to clarify you of your unbridled ignorance. I may never dignify you with another response henceforth. Good day! @hotseat |

tnerro1:And you think Nigeria will go it alone? It will go with ECOWAS mandate requiring all partner states to protect the integrity of the other. AES is no longer in ECOWAS so Nigeria is free to deploy militarily against them. Attacking Benin or Ghana would spell their doom as those countries will gladly send in their troops. All in all it's going to be a regional war between the AES block and Nigeria/Benin /Ghana block. This has nothing to do with France as those AES will have their regimes cut short and civilian rule returned. Traore and his band of misfits are playing with fire. Whatever military support they're expecting from Russia would definitely disappoint them in the end I don't see AES retaining their military junta next year |
