Will be using that inverter soon on a pass my neighbor package.. With this henry battery sah.. I they come your whatsapp DM now to ask more info on that inverter

dollarnaira:
Not entirely true.
Grades and products matters oo.
Bought 4000w Satchet inverter recently, and I must confess it was too good to be true. Very unique.

Haykay2001:
PV generate around 3kw..while load is btw 500w and 650w max.. And its only btw 1.5kw and 2kw that goes into the battery.. Sometimes abt 1kw Wont be able to be accounted for..
This seems a bit normal to me. Means u using abt 2 to 2.65kw. Sometimes the inverter load rating in watt sef may be wrong and underreported which is why i prefer to use the load VA part

Quick and serious question:

Who is responsible for supplying the MCCB inside the smart meter: the distribution company or the user?

I am asking because mine just caught fire, and had I not caught it on time, it would have consumed the meter and resulted in a fire disaster.

Pending your response, I am proceeding to purchase a replacement unit for immediate installation.

it is their property but and they should do it. they may however waste your time. please whatever you do, make a timestamped video documenting everything so they dont start claiming you bypassed meter tomorrow

Tv+2 standing fans+ 6 bulbs = approx 200w

A 1.5kva hybrid inverter approx ₦220k
1.2kwh lithium battery = approx ₦230k
2nos 550w battery = approx ₦190k
Accessories (wires, breakers, roof mount( = ₦80k

Installation approximately ₦60k

Total about ₦780k

This could go up or down.

This is just a rough estimate.

you need a pure sine wave inverter, dont compromise on this. a modified sine wave will destroy your electronics. you better off with a voltage system 24v/48v as they are more efficient for battery charging and reduce current losses.

you will need approximately 400w - 500w of monocrystalline solar panels. two 300w panels 600w total would provide better charging reserves and faster recovery.

you need a charge controller preferably mppt charge controller is mandatory for efficiency, batteries preferably LiFePO4 superior cycle life (3000-6000 cycles) 90%+ DoD.

option A (LiFePO4 : two 100Ah 12V LiFePO4 batteries (in series for 24V) or one 100Ah 24V unit: NGN 1,200,000 - 2,000,000 idk confirm in your area for price.

option B (deep cycle GEL/AGM Lead-Acid): four 100Ah 12V batteries (in series for 24V): NGN 600,000 - 1,000,000

other stuffs needed are cables (correct gauge), breakers, fuses, disconnect.

workmamship depends collabo with your guy.

Thank you.

I have a video of the fire before I put it out.

I have a video of the removal and repair.

Maybe I need an affidavit of facts to prepare ahead of that possible day.

I have the burnt MCCB as evidence, also.

Thanks for referring the app to me.

I have been using it for about 4 years now. I have two in my house at the moment. They are reliable. The only challenge is that not everyone can fix it. When I moved to my new apartment, the electrician who tried to fix the fan ended up blowing it. I had to buy a new one and looked for a competent guy to fix it
Thank you

Electricians in the house, I have a question?
How best can one use electrical devices like TV, freezer that uses 110-120V in a house( I want to buy some appliances, that are all 110V, cos they're cheap). Is it by using plugin wall socket step up transformers? If yes, does this work well with inverter?

Is it possible to run a wiring for a new house such that you can have wall sockets with option for 110V and 220V appliances? If yes, how? Is it through separate conduit wiring, or use a central step down transformer from the DB.
Kindly advise.
