The irony here is that Nigeria most probably budgets and spends more cash looking for FDIs globally than all the rest put together... The huge entourage, the fat estacodes, the endless globetrotting... No business ran the way these platoon of kleptomanaics run Nigeria will not go into bankruptcy. I'm even surprised Nigeria got that much... Nothing is happening much in terms of new foreign investors in the country. The few available ones are packing shop and leaving. Insecurity challenge is a major problem for now. No investor is ready to put their money in unsafe markets. If Nigeria can get this much from fdi then it's a major indictment on some of these African countries because most of them are relatively safe security wise and it shows they aren't doing enough. That said Egypt seems to be leading the chart of African countries with the best economy. I wonder why South Africa can't dominate that position effectively because on paper it would seem they ought to dominate that position by a wide margin especially with the drop of Nigeria from that position for obvious reasons. Most of these African countries are just playing as they arent performing to expectations! 8 Likes |

That Egypt FDI is mainly from USA to be able to control them. America gives Egypt Billions of dollars every year as assistance and aid. Those are the agreement signed with them since 1946.
