You see intelligence is the name of the game in the 21st century, if you like gather 1billion standing army, I will just manufacture 500 army robots. It is very easy to uncover Nigerian politics, by just looking at a politician you can know his plans. One thing you must understand about the Northern arewa politicians is that despite their sharia leanings they are probably the only group of Nigerians that are fair to all peoples except Buhari(because of Kanu's provocations) I am going to tell you a little secret. You see Dangote Refinery, the man took a very big risk to ensure that that Refinery stands, and one question he must have asked Buhari is that "how am I sure that your successor will put the interest of Nigeria first?" Because a new government can come and destroy all the agreements leaving Dangote almost rekt. So they had to setup a parallel system to ensure continuity. The goal of Dangote Refinery was to push down the price of petrol to as low as even N200 per litre. Can you imagine that? Now Tinubu has come, David Hundeyin said the man has been a western intelligence asset for some years due to his past, I don't think he can go to the U.S probably be arrested. Anyways, Tinubu noticed that there was a parallel system put in place by his predecessor so he invited France and America to help expose and dismantle that system. He effectively betrayed the Northerners that put him in power. Started with removing INEC CHAIRMAN. While Dangote wants petrol price to crash, Tinubu wants us to follow the Ghanaian template (remember when those Ruth and co, influencers went to Ghana). In Ghana, Fuel is N1700 per litre. So you should try and uncover the forces at play in Nigeria. Even as a faceless account there are somethings I can't say for the sake of national security. Unless ofc there is some incentive. |

The parallel system is being dismantled, and rightly so. We cannot be held hostage by a single business. |

Dangote is a business man. The interest of Nigeria is not his first priority but the continuous existence, growth and profitability of his conglomerate is. And that can only be possible with Nigeria as a nation that is working, hence it's a two way street affair for him on that front. This refinery of his, is just one part of the whole machine of that conglomerate of his. Making a deal with a previous administration for a parallel system as you have stated is merely him ensuring his indestructible operating module after that administration leaves office.. as for the fuel price cut, fuel can never go back to 200naira, the lowest and if it all is 500naira and that is a big maybe and a long shot for any realistic market player to understand. Dangote is working to monopolies Nigeria oil sector, if Rockefeller can do it, it seems plausible in the unregulated Nigerian and most African market sector. His major problem is the stumbling blocks he is having with foreign importers who sees him as a huge threat to their own livelihood, and not just because of their political affiliation but also the depth of his own war chest. Each government will want to take a bite from his cake either he likes it or not.. He could have built that refinery anywhere in Nigeria, but he chose Lagos for a specific reason. Market share and port access for international market.. Transportation and logistical burdens to other parts of the country its a problem he leaves in the hand of the local suppliers. As for Tinubu and the Northern Elites, it's clear that he doesn't wish to dance to their tunes that much, and they hate being tolerated which seems likely the message he is sending them. They are in a bind with him, at least for now, because surely even if you want to oust Tinubu, they know the north does not have a candidate that has been able to cut across all Nigerian since Yar'Adua.. Buhari was a strong headed man from day one, be it as a military HOS or a democratically elected president.. well until he became so placid that he didn't care what happens to the country in the last stretch of his tenure.. The north either they will accept and live with it that Tinibu will not be dictated to as they were hoping for, or they find a viable candidate from the south that will challenge Tinubu's presidency come the next election, a candidate with strong character record, good backings and a heavy national message that cut across the major tribes and the relevant minority groups, the north will just be looking, and they might end up being divided for the first time in the history of Nigeria's political regional space because some of them are seeing way better option outside the whole North coalition in terms of them determining who runs the country. Their northern norms and identity (a major glue) is so imbedded in their social and economic daily life that there is no other option than just going with the flow. If GEJ can be brought back into the fold. Then, you are starting to pinch someone like Tinubu.. if they can't get him on board, well they have the next 6 years to strategize. |

Hightablevoice2:As I pointed out, Northern are always socialist in nature and no matter how corrupt they are, they always seem to have the common man's interest at heart. You are right about Dangote being profit motivated but he is a Northern although they are still have corrupt elements, they always seem to be not so greedy as the rest. Look at airpeace charging exorbitant prices, Lagos to Eastern Nigeria 500k Here you have Dangote slashing price of fuel to 600naira. That's the difference. |
| Re: Tinubu Vs The Northern Powerpoint: Pray for Dangote by Hightablevoice2: 1:01pm On Dec 15, 2025 |
melechpilusof:Every industry or sector dependency on how flexible they can be differs and not based on individualism. Take for instance, there are a lot of times between Q1-Q3( i.e Jan-August) that those airlines will have to fuel their airplanes to fly even with just 20 or less than 50 passengers on board. An airline is not like bus terminal that they will wait until the bus is full before they embark on a journey. Once time their time on the tarmac is due, they either fly or cancel flight.. and considering it's the same quantity of fuel, the same fees, salaries, maintenance and mandatory regulatory charges they will use to fly less than 50 passengers is the same they will use to fly a fully booked flight, you can imagine what it must be like. And now that it's holiday season, they have the chance to recoup some of those looses to offset their balance sheet. Remember they are also in the business for profit and not public charity. They aren't actually forcing everyone to fly, it simply means during festivities period, this what we are charging, not because they are greedy but they also have been cutting looses for the past 8-9months. |

Hightablevoice2:They can aswell wake up one morning and say "look from Lagos to Abuja is now 5 million naira and we are not forcing anyone to fly" If the Nigerian government and the private sector cannot properly manage an airline business, they should should allow the Chinese to do it for us. This idea of charging what ever price to enable them make for past losses is unprofessional and a hallmark of lack of capable hands in the industry. Flights in Nigeria should be the cheapest considering the fact that we have jetfuel under our soil in large quantities. |

E say na pray for Dangote ![]() Dangote reduced his price to undercut importers. He is aware that they have consignments about to land, that's why he did it. That's his modus operandi. He's been doing it in Sugar. Anyway, importers will continue to import whether he likes it or not. If he wants to chase them out of business, let him sell at the 200 per litre you said. |
| Re: Tinubu Vs The Northern Powerpoint: Pray for Dangote by Wickedtruths: 1:50pm On Dec 15, 2025 |
melechpilusof:See talk. They should allow the Chinese manage it for you. Is that how Chinese allow Nigerians manage their businesses in China? So, only jet A1 makes flights expensive. What about aircraft maintenance costs, and all? If airline businesses were so profitable, many airlines won't have gone down. |

Wickedtruths:The way you are talking make it seem like our people are incapable. Imagine making a case for an airline waking up one morning and decides to charge 5million naira saying "that's our price we are not forcing anyone to fly" that clearly shows that the business is being managed by the wrong people. Okay now let's look at it realistically, why should a flight from Accra to Abuja cost 520k, while a flight from Lagos to Eastern Nigeria cost 500k, what's the logic there? If you are comparing jetful cost to plane maintenance cost, then you are not making any serious point. Jet fuel cost is way higher than plane maintenance cost. A plane is not maintained on a daily basis but a plane needs Jetfuel on a daily basis. I might be wrong but I think you are just trying hard to defend something that is indefensible, I understand your probably paid to do this or you are just very passionate about it, which ever the case I don't judge but the truth leaves no room for any reasonable doubt. |

The narrative that Tinubu is betraying the North is absurd. How can you betray a people that are your own? And who is asking for the price of petrol to be N200? Is that not a joke? |
| Re: Tinubu Vs The Northern Powerpoint: Pray for Dangote by melechpilusof(op): 5:25pm On Dec 15, 2025 |
odejimioflagos:Well El Rufai is currently blaming Ribadu for not arresting Tinubu in the past, Tinubu has plans to also ban sharia, even if he wants to pretend about, he was the one that Invited The Americans and France, He is investigating Malami and Matawale. I support him on some of those things but for you to think that the northern bloc don't know these things then you are daydreaming. |

Hightablevoice2:Why can’t the airlines reduce ticket fees so they don’t fly near empty planes during those periods you mentioned? They blamed scarcity of jet fuel before but since Dangote refinery came on board, we’ve not heard them mention scarcity. What is the real reason why a flight from Lagos to Abuja that used to cost less than 50k suddenly went up as high as 150-200k for a one way trip? |
