We want Anambra to be the best in igboland but the most humble one will be the best/greatest. That is how things are designed to work. It's like the maths formula of the Universe that no one can circumvent... They could only try to hide the truth by faking greatness..

The most humble (true humility) in a family becomes the greatest, while the proud is humbled. If you are truely great it's because you are humble. If you are becoming worthless, it's likely due to pride.

However, I'm encouraged by the fact that the governor, who is the state's head, seems quite humble. It's unlike the typical primitive culture of the unbelievers (not the awaken igbos) he rules over, who are full of pride and are worshippers of the rich and mighty. The governor must discourage this culture so that the state may be the greatest.

Where are the talents? I mean the young talents? I heard the governer complaining the other day that their brothers and sisters from other states are taking over and doing works anambra people are ashamed to do. How can you be truely productive without being humble again?, Instead they celebrate things of pride in a state that desperately needs strong productivity and organized hardworking talents. Where is the apprenticeship you are known for? Can you be humble enough to do "boi boi" today? The ongoing techhub needs lots of boi boi kind of workers to thrive even better than what is obtained in China. Perhaps the governor should heavily involve the humbled ones from other igbo states to create the tech revolution the state and igboland desperately need. I'm open to strong inclusion of other tribes in the workforce, esp Christains who love igbos. There are lots of humble northerners both in the center region and core north. They'll grow to become the ogas of the proud indigenes, so that they (the indigenes) may be humble and eventually become great again.

Please can somebody tell me ...what exactly is the point of the wasteful so called upgrading of the Awka Township stadium ? All I see the interlocking of acres of stadium space that could have been designed for aerobic , jogging and light sport activities....whilst still serving as extra parking lots...

The Anambra State Government has expenditure of over 200 billion. It can do a lot more in terms of digitizing and tech innovating its systems not spending billions awarded to cronies to construct yet another building which it will barely use (ICC is a prime example). If it were thinking in this way then you would see a lot of startups building health solutions, education solutions, e-govermment tax and services solutions, environmental solutions, transport solutions. These innovations would get their start in Anambra then be exportable to other states.

But the ANSG is not honest in its dealings. From the evidence so far, there is too much cronyism and nepotism in contract award. You see contractors awarded 10x the normal price to build projects in the state and many of the projects are basic and badly delivered. For example, look at the so-called Light House where they narrowed the very wide Emeka Anyaoku Boulevard just to construct a meaningless statue or the fencing off of buildings across the road because they never thought out their security in designing the new Government House.

These are people some of whom have visited Washington DC. Did the Americans build the Washington Memorial in front of the White House blocking or narrowing the access road? Is the White House right by the road or is it built with at least 50m setback from the main road? The White House by the way was built in 1792 or over 200 years ago.

What Anambra needs less of is praise singing and more intelligent honest people in government with critical thinking skills. What has Soludo's ICT program achieved in the last three years? Last time I went to the ANSG Secretariat I did not see any evidence of "innovation". Darkness everywhere. No government Wifi. No electronic gates. No digital access control system for workers to check in and out the buildings. These are basics. But they are talking Solution Innovation District.

As you can see Anambra is doing very well in all ramifications. The last time I checked your state Ebonyi is the poorest in the country while your governor look confused and clueless! Yes, your governor is lost and doesn't even know what is the job of a governor....go rest! Anambra will be okay even after Soludo! Ike Obosi will go after Soludo followed by Kingsley Muoghalu. We are all Anambrarians my friend so stop the diversionary tactic. Soludo surrounds himself with what the British call dolts. They can fool you with concrete and paint but not me.
They are interlocking vast areas that could have been used for basketball courts, volleyball courts, and planting trees. But their sense no reach anywhere. Look at the football field whose artificial turf is worn thin for lack of maintenance and whose running track is cracking and falling apart. Its not even a standard 400m track bevause these brainless dolts couldn't achieve that simple track under Obiano.
Go and see what people with sense build with less money. This is the 36m rand ($2m) Klipspruit Sports Center in Soweto, South Africa.
Meanwhile our geniuses in Nigeria collected $1m from FIFA to build this pitch and God knows how much they paid GSS for this interlock parking.
Or go take a look at another Johannesburg Development Agency COMMUNITY project - the Jabulani Hub and Sports Complex built with SENSE for the youth including :

- A full-size artificial soccer pitch.
- An Olympic-sized swimming pool.
- Outdoor sports courts (e.g., basketball, netball).
- A gym facility.
- A kids' play area.
- A multipurpose hall.
- Study and youth cafe areas for various programs.

Note that what RCC is building or has built from Umunya - Enugu has the following:
1) Crash barriers
2) Drainage
3) Soil stabilization
4) Load-bearing sub-base
5) Emergency Lane
Contrast this with the rubbish IDC built for the state between Amawbia and Amansea under Obiano at great cost.
You start wondering about the capacity of Anambra's Ministry of Works. There are standard processes for road projects. Environmental Assessment, Design, tendering, procurement, delivery. They skip critical details and jump to procurement.
It’s not a wonder the state is littered with badly planned projects.
The Obi built expressway from headbridge to Umunya with no crash barrier, no emergency lane in his quest to "save money". Or the sub-standard footbridge with IDC at Unizik Temp Site Junction with one of its legs sitting on the expressway. Or Obiano's three poorly designed ramps with IDC (which he called flyover) with convoluted underpass creating more mess than needed instead of proper flyovers in the right places. Or the ICC on a wetland with billions spent sandfilling and elevating the building.
If you are going to spend billions constructing, get it right the first time by hiring experts, not backyard so-called engineers.

Mktinsight your opinion is not needed here. All do is to constantly discredit any project in Anambra simply because of your envy. Ikenga mall is the biggest and most beautiful in Igboland and that’s what matters to us here. That you are bringing Addis into comparison means that no mall even in Abuja or Lagos comes close. Envy of what? Envy of mediocrity? Soludo said he would turn Anambra to Dubai and Taiwan. I am showcasing Addis Ababa so you can see serious people attempting to replicate Dubai in Africa not hot air of Nigerian politicians.
Many of the basics are achievable. Nothing stops Soludo from introducing EV buses like Enugu and Lagos states on key arteries and getting rid of Keke. Nothing stops them from learning from Ethiopia who funded the 6,000 MW Grand Renaissance Dam from government bonds to build at least 500MW of power in the state. Nothing stops them from building proper large Bus Terminals and Truck Terminals to get rid of roadside bus and truck loading.

its incredible what ethiopia has done in its capital over the past 2 years! Soludo is eminently capable of carrying out the same town planning revolution in Anambra but he is hampered by a relatively weak cabinet and paucity of funds! I wonder if it is possible for him to learn a thing or 2 from the enugu governor in area of revenue generation........I suspect that Enugu state may have employed the services of lagos state revenue officials............the truth is that Lagos has by far, the best revenue generation formular in the country! Let us learn from others when we are lacking ..........no harm in that
